What is your stance on stealth in games? I personally hate sneaking around.

If I don't have to be sneaky, I like the option.
Because that usually means I can fight back effectively if I blow my cover.
Otherwise, it's something I kinda suck at.
I never did do too well in the Splinter Cell games...I lack the patience needed to do really well in them.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
the only way stealth really works is if the game is well built around it, or its halo, somehow stealth worked pretty well in halo

Given the option I prefer to pepper someone's face with buckshot, although I have been known to enjoy crouching in the shadows and knifing someone in the neck as they patrol past.

If stealth is done right, I really enjoy it. I would say a game like Arkham Asylum did stealth just right. But most games can't get it right (even if it's their focus), and it just ends up being shitty. I'm looking at you Assassin's Creed. And I can't think of a single FPS where I thought the stealth sections worked really well.

I'm no huge fan of stealth... Im far too easilly exciteable to maintain my cool in anything that requires being stealthy. Infact, any time there is a stealth mini-game involved in something I'm playing, I decide to turn off the console and do something else.

I usually make a stealth character whenever I play an RPG game but in Oblivion when I was maxed out stealth-wise I could shoot fifty arrows into a minotaur and he wouldn't notice me! What they should've done was make it harder to sneak but the hits be one-hit kills.

I checked my stats on Prototype and I have over 400 more stealth consumes than regular consumes if that's any indication of my stance on stealth.

And then to be even more obvious, apparently I'm stealthy!

I like having the option even though I'll never use it. It's like moral choice. I'll always be good in the end but I like being having little evil spurts.

Stealth is awesome when done right in games. There's a cool rush you get when you sneak past a room full of baddies without tipping them off. It's a bonus when the developers throw in random dialogue for the goons too, stuff that you'd only hear why sneaking around.

Not a big fan of waiting, but I do like being able to sneak around and set up death traps.
see unless the game tells me exactly where to put a trap the guys that I'm trying to kill end up ether never getting near them, or walk right beside them, that's why I stick to big guns

A huge axe/gun > stealth. Its useful, but I prefer to simply kill anyone watching me.
Pretty much my thinking. They can't find you if you forcefully remove all of their sensory organs after all.

Really depends on my mood. Sometimes I will want to run-and-gun, other times I will want to be sneaky and crafty. So I like having the option to do either, I don't like having it forced down on us (e.g. levels where if you get found, you fail the mission etc).

I love having a stealth option (nothing like sneaking up on-someone with a knife), but it has to an option (unless its a Stealth Game like Splinter Cell, in which case you get what you paid for).
