there is a whole lot of games coming out this year and the start of next year but i only have enough money for one and i dont see myself getting any more for a while so what do you people say i should get

Or if you really have to choose from the poll then Assassin's Creed 2 or Mass Effect 2.

Well... It depends entirely on what you look for in a game. Those games are pretty different.

If I had to put my money on any of those games being super-mega-awesome it'd be Mass Effect 2, closely followed by Assassin's Creed 2. But, again, it depends on what you want.

I also have to say that the new Splinter Cell looks damn good - but appart from that I'm not personally looking forward to Bioshock 2 or ODST. And I have no idea what Alpha Protocol is.

Last time I checked, Bioshock 2, Splinter Cell Conviction and Mass Effect 2 weren't being released until next year.

I highly doubt you will find a decisive answer by asking a bunch of random Internet people with varied ages, backgrounds, tastes, dislikes... in fact more than likely it would spark off some sort of argument about which is better out of blah and blah.

Get whichever one you feel will suit your tastes and your likes and dislikes the most.

That being said, my personal vote lies with Bioshock 2, though I will certainly be getting at the very least 3 of those games.

Mass Effect 2 will give you the most bang for your buck, especially if you already have the first one, what with the decisions made in the first game effecting the outcome of the sequel.

Well, if I was limited, I would probably pick Conviction cause I could use some stealth, but since you said not getting anything for awhile, go with Mass Effect 2, for the sake of length.

Well.....I'm not going to judge, since I obviously havn't played them. Judging by the quality of the originals though, Mass Effect 2.
