Is anyone else excited for any changes in their next quarter in school?

Well, I'll tell you why I'm excited. I'm going to be taking a break from the standard 4 class schedule(15-19 credit hours) and instead dropping down to 3 at 14 hours.

I also just have macroeconomics, a one level above what I'm doing now math class, and I finally get to be in a class for my chosen major in computer science. It's just java but that's good because right now all i can do is program Matlab which is just a fancy programmable calculator, basically. It's really fun to use though. Much better than their Inventor computer aided drawing crap they were doing before. Anyway I'm also getting out of the general engineering classes I had to take the first two quarters of school. I'm also going to search for a job or research opportunities because I'll have a metric ton of free time now. I'll also finally have time for Real Life(religious organization I had to skip out on this quarter), astronomy and computer clubs.

I'm excited. Are you? I understand that a lot of you are out of school and are working. Is anything really changing your schedule in the coming weeks?

oh and spring break's coming up!!!

Unfortunately while I still am in school I am not looking forward to my next quarter. I personally hate the school and the country I'm in (Poland) and I'm counting down the days anxiously (122 days left) until I can go home for my summer vacation.
We really don't have a spring break either (we get like 5 days, which is a bummer).
Gotta go with War, War Never Changes because I honestly feel like I am in War and or prison.

sorry to hear that.

But I'm glad that one of my options fits your situation. : )

Hopefully it will get better, I'm hoping broadband internet makes it over here one day....sigh I can only dream. From living in Chicago where I had a 30-40Mb/s connection to here where the average in my dorm is like 50kb/s and a general population average is like 1-2Mb/s it really has taken a toll on me and my tendencies of watching tv online and gaming.
That and the general culture shock.

I'm no longer at university, but when I was, I hated my course, I did maths and computer science. I remember learning java, our lecturer set us really lame excercises which didn't teach us the syntax very well, so I had to spend extra time memorising syntax. His excercises involved copy and pasting huge blocks (objects), which... yeah it's kinda what you do in java, being object orientated afterall, but it meant that we didn't know simple stuff such as print a line of text.

I am still in my second semester, general education requirements are distracting me from courses I will actually have use for.

I'm in my second semester and in two weeks I have to take my California High School Exit Exams(C.A.H.S.E.E). If I don't pass I don't graduate, and then I need to study for my AP World History Exam!

I'm hoping to get the promotion that might open up in April, but it's hard to tell at this place.

No. I'm at an impasse between courses I can't pass and courses I couldn't pass.

The whole situation is leaving me dangerously depressed.

Next quarter is my last. At the end of it, I shall become...Dr. Bofus (I'll wear a cape and mask, and dismiss everyone else's opinion as "uneducated"). I guess I'm looking forward to the end of next quarter more than the quarter itself.

...and no, I don't plan on being any more of an asshole than I already am.
