I detest sleeping. It's a massive waste of time. I forget where I read this (it was a trustworthy place, though), but if you live for about 80-85 years, you'll have slept about 30 of them. That's a lot. Even if I shave 5 years of my life by not sleeping as much as I should, I'm wasting about 8 years less, for a net gain of 3 years of time to my life.

I only sleep because eventually my body just crashes. I hate it otherwise since it takes time away from stuff I could be doing

I never want to go to bed, but once I get there I enjoy it so much that I never want to get out. I often will lay on my bed randomly musing about the universe because I don't want to get up.

I did a speech on this subject for a college speech class.

We were assigned to create a sales pitch for an imaginary product and try and sell it to the class. Mine was voted most wanted to be real.

I can't quite remember the actual name of the product that I made up so for this thread I will rename it the "Good Night's Sleep Patch."

My product used a new revolutionary nonaddictive drug that would fool the brain into thinking that it has slept more than it has. The patch would revitalize the brain and body of the user.

The idea of the product is that when the user wears the patch and sleeps a certain number of hours, let's say 4 hours, then the drug in the patch makes the brain and body feel like it has actually slept for 8 hours. So it would be a sleep doubling patch. An hour restful nap can become a two hour nap. Whatever time you sleep, it gets doubled.

Of course there is no real way around having to sleep so that is why I didn't create a stop for the activity.

The patch would give people a good deal of extra time to do what they want. It would also be great for hospital staff that only get short nap breaks in the hospital break-rooms.

I hate trying to get to sleep but I love being able to sleep in and not get out of bed of another few hours.

god... sleep, it's so good to sleep... then I wake up, and waves of anxiety, fear, and soul crushing depression wash over me... then I hate my life again. That is seriously the single worst feeling I've ever had in my life... I've had surgery, waited around for half an hour after breaking my arm in three places, and waking up and feeling reality wash over me is the single worst feeling I have ever had in my life... and it happens every day! :D

I'm guessing it's what ever activity you are doing before sleeping, I used to try and fight that rule of sleep to play wow all night and go to school in the morning. So if you're playing wow, well that's why you hate sleep!

Also if you hate sleep for a non retarded reason like my 8th grade self, smokes and drink lots of coffee or do some drugs. Smoking weed can help you stay up late to help fight the bordem and smoking will help you stay awake and shit. don't eat too much because eating makes you tired, and tell me your hobby because i'm curious what you do.

I love sleeping. Absolutly love it. Well more should I say, I love dreaming. Every day I always look forward to sleep purely because I know I'll dream.

As for actually sleeping, I guess I'm apathetic.

If I didn't need to sleep to stay healthy, I probably wouldn't. A nap is alright here and there, but think how much time you waste while sleeping.

I'm not sure what to choose. I hate going to sleep, but when I'm asleep i don't want to wake up.

Gaah, so conflicted!

Being rested is a nice feeling, but overall I hate sleep. It wastes so much time of your life (as earlier explained). I could be studying or gaming, but no, I have to waste hours in a state of unconsciousness whilst occasionally experiencing vivid hallucinations.
I've grown accustomed to getting 4 or 5 hours of sleep most nights to the point where I can't even sleep more than 6 hours at a time anyway. It surely can't be good for me, but in a way I simply can't bring myself to care.

I would love forever the person that made this a reality. If only..

If I could always remember my dreams, it'd be better, but I only remember my dreams on occasion, so it kinda sucks. If I could remember my dreams it'd be like going to the theater every night. My dreams are weird and interesting. Even when my dreams take a turn toward the sinister they tend to lean more on the fascinating side than the terrifying side.

I don't like that I need eight hours of every day to go up in smoke, though. i imagine I'd be much less lazy without sleep as a factor as well.

Yeah, if I didn't have to sleep so much, I would have the time to invent it.

Being a person who enjoys the night hours, I hate having to sleep. Actually, more accurately, I hate that any jobs that don't suck have to be done during daylight hours. Thus, you must sleep at night.

I hate it, I sleep so much and when I come to, I actually have real trouble waking up, I can fall back into it like a coma. It takes up my time and I have terrible nightmares most nights.
