If i could, I'd be all over a droid or an HTC but they are way out of my range, i'm looking at refurbished iPods at Best Buy, I need it to stay relatively cheap plus i already have a phone so i need to get one without a phone built in that doesn't require a data plan

Spend the extra 20 dollars and get a third gen. Faster CPU, and will support newer IOS releases. the 2nd gen has already been left behind on releases.

Get the 2nd generation ipod for cheep and use the money you save to buy songs or something like that,or failing that get a 3rd party device.

Huh? When did phones enter the picture here? I thought we were talking about mp3 players...wherein everything is cheaper than Apple, and often superior in many ways.

I agree its better to support small buisnesses as they are the ones actually putting money back into the economy
