I was at friend's place and he let try out his 3ds and i fell in love with it. The problem i have that i can not afford it for a little while and then there are other games like the ICO/Shadow of the Colossus collection coming out and i was wondering what should i buy first and save for later?

The 3DS is getting some great games coming out in September to December. If you can afford both the system AND some games, get it first. If you can't afford some games, get the games like ICO/SotC coming out in November. Depends on when you would be able to afford the other games, as well.
Get the games and save for the 3DS.
The 3DS will suck more money out of you once you've bought it, so you're better off getting things that won't do that when you can. Once you've got the games you want, save for the 3DS and the games you want for that.
