I'd say Spiderman. Sure, Batman is pretty damned cunning, but it's not like Spidey is a complete dumbass, and his powers are pretty awesome. I guess I just find the 'Herp derp, he's just that good!' thing with Batman to be a bit of a cop-out as a substitute to having any powers.

Spider-Man. He's ingenious in making gadgets for himself without being exactly rich, extremely quick and agile, and also having super-strength that if he didn't hold back as he always does most of the time; could probably knock Batman out. Also not forgetting that Spidey has already learnt kung fu from Shang-Chi, so he's not someone you want to fight hand to hand anymore. He's spider-sense is another big help, especially since Spidey does not know Batman enough for his spider-sense to register him as a ally.

It would be a close fight, but I think Spiderman would come out on top. As long as he kept his distance, used lots of webs, and jumped in and out to just whittle away at Batman's defenses he could take him down.

It depends on a lot of things, considering Batman can hold his own against superpowered people

How could they fight? They are after all, one and the same.

I applaud you good sir. As for Spidey vs The Bat, depending on different factors would affect who won...or even just how much we the reader would enjoy it. If Batman had his gadets it would be a close figth and would depend more on who could be the most unpredictable during the fight.

Spiderman wouldn't be able to use his wisecraks and tuants to the same extent as with the others he fights since Batman has had to deal with Joker so much.

personally i'd love to see them just go at each other in a fist fight. think about it for a sec. No wall crawling or webs, no fancy gadgets, just Spiderman and Batman duking it out. Spiderman with his felxibality and agility based fighting style against Btamans ninja training and multiple martial arts. It would be the coolest fist fight every. Spiderman would run rings and dodge nearly all of Batmans strikes, but he in turn would block and counter anything spidey throws at him (Batman being like his Arkham game debuts), and the winner would be determined by outthinking each other, predicitng each other and a bit of luck

I dont like either so I can be objective with this, Spider-Man wins.

Spider-Man has superhuman strength, reflexes, precognition and is pretty intelligent as well as all that Spidery-ness. Batman is just a rich guy. All it takes is for the faster and stronger Spider-Man to hit Batman ONCE and it is over, he doesnt even have tohit him... he can just web him up.

It's an interesting match-up, Spidey has defeated the Green/Hobgoblin before, who is pretty much a more brazen Batman with a glider.[/quote]

Wow really? Just, wow. You think Green goblin and Hobgoblin are the same pretty much thats the first wow. And the final wow comes from you thinking these 2 criminals, one being completely insane and the other just a greedy dick being comparable to Batman??? lol, sorry another WOW is needed. My final 2 cents are that if you dont know villians or heros dont compare them just cause they both use some type of equipment thats like comparing roller skates with a race car cause they both have wheels lolololol.

You want to talk about annoying? Batman is annoying. I love him in his world, Gotham is amazing. Even the super powered thugs are just super powered enough to give Batman a run for his money. But seriously, what is Clayface going to do against Wonder Woman? The Martain Manhunter? Green Lantern?

People keep talking about how much more training Batman has in fighting. Because of Spidey's powers, his whole body is hardened, heightened, speed up and moves in ways the human body simply can not. Also, Spiderman was trained by Captain America, one of the Marvel universe's best fighters during the event 'The Other'.

And given the facts about Spiderman's webbing (it dissolves after an hour) how the hell could Batman prepare? How can he get it back to a lab to study it? Because he's 'just that good'? Please.

My own issues with Batman aside, the only real way he's ever win this one is if the writers of Batman writes it. Spiderman out fought the Juggernaut, Firelord, Big hitters in the marvel universe. Fans can say, but the facts still lay.

Captcha: agree to disagree

SERIOUSLY?! You guy wonder if we can ever make AI and Captcha sits right under our noses?!

Batman, because he's frickin' BATMAN.
This is a guy who could take down anyone if he had enough damn prep time, so I'm pretty sure Spidey won't be much of a problem.

I'm pretty sure Spidey can break normal peoples wrist if they hit him and he's tensing, I'm pretty sure Bats counts as a normal person no matter how special he is, he's just human. If he can't hit Spidey without breaking something, if he could hit him anyway spider-sense and all, he's gunna lose.

I understand that Batman can defeat Superman.

I guess I don't see how Spidey would even have a chance.

Let me answer your question with another question; which one is Batman? There's your answer.

If there was prep time it could go either way. Batman could use knock out gas or something, spider man could anticipate for that and beat him anyway.

One on one it's spiderman since his deus ex machinima sense can pretty much save him from anything.

Thematically speaking, Spiderman has to win.

Spiderman, like Batman, has experince terrible loss. His life is litterally full of trajedy. Everyone he knows either dies, becomes a supervillian, or does a deal with the devil to undo their marriage.

But despite all that, Spiderman doesn't brood. He doesn't let the world drag him down, he remains a plucky happy-go-lucky optimistic fellow. Unlike Batman, who's whole source of strength is his own inner turmoil and darkness... Having Spiderman lose would just be a real downer...

It would be interesting to see how Batman suffers Spiderman's near constant one-liners, considering Batman has endured it for years coming from the Joker.... Hell, thats a fight I'd wanna see, Spiderman versus The Joker. It would be a panel for panel laugh fest.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't been locked yet, the mods must be getting sloppy.

But we're here anyways, so what the hell. Batman.

Fight Begins. Batman deploys Anti-Spiderman utility. Batman wins.

Spider-Man says to himself: "Holy shit, it's like Moon Knight with the gadgetry of Tony Stark! What a badass."

Batman says to himself: "So this guy fights crime like me, gets public ridicule like me, lost relatives like me, and still has a sense of humor and finds time for a love-life? I have to give respect where it is due."

There it's not a tie. It's mutual understanding.

If Batman is able to prepare, then it would be Batman. If the fight came out of the blue, Spiderman would simply give a quick 3-hit combo, knock Batman to the ground, and then web him up for the cops to get him. Batman will most likely to escape, with his utility belt containing something like a knife or batarang. Unlike Batman, Spidey is respected by authority figures unless if they were controlled by someone like Osborn or Kingpin. The cops and onlookers will most likely be rooting for Spiderman as well. If they were to fight in public, the crowd would yell something like, "Spidey! Behind you!" or something like that. But his spidey-sense would've figured that out anyways. That's also the problem for Batman: he will not have the advantage of a surprise attack. Out in daylight, in the dark, anywhere. But remember: if Batman makes a contingency plan to beat Spiderman, he will. He has plans for everything.
