Fuck to the no.

Pretty sure you can contract diseases from being a cannibal too, although I'm not sure.

I would, I don't see any problem other than the "yuck" factor if the person consented to be eaten and died of natural causes. It'd be interesting to see if it really does taste like pork.
i would have guessed chicken, but i am basing it on no fact other then in tv and film people say everything tastes like chicken.

No, not at all. It's like telling me I could legally have sex with an eight year old girl, I really don't want too, i.e the thought is abhorrent and grossly repugnant. So I would think, "what a beastly thing to do" and then head off, head held high.
That's a bit of a false analogy, though, because the sex with the eight year old would have moral repercussions if she has any memory of it, and even worse ethical problems if her memory of it is wiped. With the human meat, the dude is already dead.

Even considering your analogy, I personally would be up for trying pretty much anything if I'll only get one chance and I can literally stomach it, if there were no legal bounds or ethical problems. Human meat doesn't really come off as abhorrent to me (personally).
I didn't really get across the concept well, it's not so much about morality but a rooted sense of disgust. Like even the thought makes me feel a tad queasy. It just feels wrong you know? The analogy with the little girl was for how unnatural it seems.

Do you get me?

Apparently (and I don't know how accurate this is so don't like... quote me to people lol) we used to eat our dead all the time (like a loooooooooooooong time ago) before people started telling them that it was wrong and forcing them to bury their dead instead

Apparently it used to be a respect thing, eat the dead so that they can live on through you... or something like that *shrugs*

Anyway OT: Maybe..... Would depend on who it was I think lol

Human meat has been described as tasting very similar to pork (albeit a little sweeter).
And if someone was offering me a taste this question springs to mind: Who is it from, and how did you get it....

No, for several reasons.

1. Anyone old enough to legally give consent for such a thing would be too old to be edible. I'm sure you could eat them if you tried, but they'd be tough and horrible.

2. Disease.

3. Even tender human meat would probably taste gross. If the comparison to pork is accurate that gives me even less incentive because I never liked pork.

4. I don't actually care what people taste like.

If someone else chose to try it, good for them. I have no moral objections to the eating of human flesh provided they died to unrelated causes or they gave consent to be killed for that purpose.

Yes. That is an opportunity so rare I wouldn't turn it down even if I didn't actually at all want to.

if only because i at one point when asked how to solve overpopulation suggested nice healthy human farms, because would not a human being who is well fed and what not be an excellent source of nutrients for other human beings? and of course it would depend on how it was cooked. Raw meat is gross but a nice well marinated human chop wouldn't be too bad I imagine....

Nah. <link=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.258942-Robot-Identifies-Human-Flesh-As-Bacon?page=1>According to science, we taste like bacon, so I'll just stick with bacon, thanks.

Considering how you would have to either eat children or castrated adults for it to even be close to edible, it gets a little bit more disturbing than most people think.

Also, I absolutely love chicken, turkey, and seafood. Red meat has no hold on me, so I doubt I would have much interest in the taste itself.

The poll results make me not want to live on this planet anymore. Either humans aren't as good as I thought they were, this site festers some really bizarre people, or we've got a really clever mulitple-account troll on our hands.

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of brain diseases that stem from cannibalism. So, no. Not that I would anyways.

If it came with a side of fava beans and a nice Chianti, I might give it a try.
Exactly. I am a traditionalist.
But nah, not some random dude. If it was a healthy female body then sure. But eating a dude would seem weird.
... Wait, does that make it even creepier?

I'd probably do it if the person it came from wasn't dead and obviously consented to it. So like, say they just sliced off a bit of their rump, and they were fine afterwards. Albeit slightly rumpless. But yeah, in that incredibly unlikely scenario I'd eat it.

Now that's interesting. Why would you eat female flesh and not male?

Definitely. I will try almost anything twice and human meat is no exception...unless I knew the guy because that would just be weird.
