I was just thinking. Who do you think would stand a better chance of survival if a zombievirus spread across the globe, us nerds who have alot of experience fighting them in videogames, watching alot of zombiemovies and know how to survive, or a soldier who has combat training but don't know shit about fighting zombies?

Obviously the soldier. What do nerds know? "aim for the head" all of which the soldier will pick up within about 3 seconds.

But without real knowledge of how to operate a gun, how to remain cool under pressure, not to mention the fact that most nerds are nowhere near even decent physical fitness, nerds would die in droves from even the slowest, shambliest zombie.
Nerds would panic and piss their pants hiding in a corner.

Not to mention even if they did survive the initial outbreak they would not possess even the most basic survival skills and would either die on their own or get picked off by wandering zombies or other survivors.

Plus the soldier would probably know the location of numerous supply depots.
I see your point, although it seems as in all the movies involving zombies the soldiers suck really bad. And as we all know, movies are always realistic...

A nerd is more likely to dislocate his shoulder and break his wrist then shoot something in the head.

I believe I'd have to go with the nerds, simply because "you pick up all the necessary knowledge in 3 secs" simply isn't true.
Ok, you understood that you have to shoot them in the head, and then...
You say "I think we're safe now" > you die
You make a sex-related joke > you die
You are colored > you die
You criticize the leader's decisions > you die
You are female, but not the lead female role > you die

And so on and so on...

So yeah, surviving a zombie apocalypse takes some knowledge.
