Not a J-RPG really (well, made in Japan, but it's nothing like typical J-RPGs), but Demon's Souls is absolutely fantastic.

If you like SRPGs. It doesn't bring anything new to the genre but the dating sim elements add an unique flavor.

Demon Souls and Valkirya Chronicles are pretty good. DS is pretty hard but its supposed to be a challenge and you do have a great sense of 'FUCK YEAH!!' when you defeat a boss. VC is a very pretty game and I do enjoy the combat.

However, on the PS3 you should take point we get 'uber' versions of Xbox 360 JRPGs and RPGs. For instance, we have the International Star Ocean, the uber Eternal Sonata and most recently the all DLC included Mass Effect 2.

(For other genres, the Uncharted titles are must-haves, Heavy Rain is a must-play, LittleBigPlanet 2 is great regardless of wanting to make your own levels or not, and Killzone 3 is looking pretty sweet.)

Demon's Souls, when (and if) you get into in, the game is very rewarding, the combat is based on tactics and not on how many button combos you can pull off. Basically, if you go in, guns blazing, this game will fuck you up.

Demon's Souls for sure. Try the first stage, its usually enough to see whether its the right game for you. You honestly can't go wrong with Valkyria Chronicles as a second choice though.

That should be changed to "if you like stories that don't make you physically ill with how incredibly poorly written they are and manage to completely fuck up what could have been an enjoyable experience due to writing and voice acting so bad that it seeps over into gameplay due to sheer awfulness and taints it all with a glimmer of retardation and idiocy, even managing to provide a moment so dumb, so mind-numbingly overwrought and stupid and meleodramatic yet ultimately inconsequential and pointless that it makes it's writer a sort of king amongst crap FPS story writers (which is an achievement in itself) then you'll despise Killzone 2." To the Killzone 2's defense, I don't know any player that actually gets FPS's for the story. The gameplay was really polished however, and that's the main reason why one should pick up Killzone 2. Killzone 3, on the other hand, looks like it'll have some really nice voice-acting and an actual, semi-interesting story.

As long as it has good gameplay though, I'm still happy.

I've only got Valkyria Chronicles out of those choices...

But I'm enjoying it a lot, it's very engaging and unique. The art style of the game is also cool, it's satisfying when you beat a mission etc.

So yeah, if you can find it cheap or something, I suggest it.

Question: Are Juugo, Hidan, and Sasori any good? Those are my favorite characters and I would have to main them.

I don't think so. I'm re-playing through them on the PS2, and they're just as fun as they've ever been.

Also, I feel I must mention this... Developers. If your going to make us restart before a boss or anything like that when we die, skip the cutscene. We watched it, and I can't tell you how great it is in Sly Cooper to not have to watch the same cutscene over and over again.

I shall be honest because I beat the Game itself already, and will state my opinion so I hope no one takes offense to this otherwise of course:

Juugo - He's the funnest to play as, because he is wild and you can do a lot of charges, yet he has a very sick awakening (it's in game).
Hidan - He actually sucks to be honest, everyone has an advantage over you especially when you use your normal skill because you can't stop until you finish it.
Sasori - He's pretty OP. Not only can you remain safe as your puppet can go out and fight for you againt your foe, Sasori has a grab that is the quickest out of any other character.

Rise of a ninja on 360 was soooo much more fun.
Not just a fighting game, action adventure, you complete quests and run around with Naruto's awesome powers. So much fun, even IF the story's not quite acucrate.

Well, of those four, the only ones I have played are Disgaea 3 and Valkyria Chronicles. Both were good, but I liked Valkyria Chronicles far more, so you should get that.
