Poll: In a new RPG...

Which class do you choose? I'm not talking about any specific RPG, just when you first play it, do you star as a Warrior, Mage , Priest or Rogue? No "which class is best" just what do you normally start with.

Uh, I mean, it helps me get a feel for the combat, skills, and gameplay.

Depends really on the game. Sometimes a Rogue/Assassin or sometimes a Warrior.

Generally I prefer to be the healer.

Everyone loves the healer. Except the enemy.

I usually play as a Warrior. However, I may try a Mage as well because I like having crazy-powerful magic attacks.

i never seem to play casters, I <3 tanking in mmorpgs but in say baldurs gate or whatsay I usually seem to play a ranger

Im always an archer or something that allows me to fight at a distance
Let the "heros" run into battle and get themselves killed, Ill be out of the fray and survive

Rogue or warrior usually.

I pick the warrior first, it usually let's me get the hang of the game and the warrior is what I like the most. (especially if that warrior has/can have an axe.)

I'm a mage. I like magic, like fire...mmmm, fire...

I play a fighter type class first, to get used to the mechanics, then I'll move on to casters, then on to hybrid classes.

Warrior. Seeming as it's usually the easiest choice and you can play through some of the game easily while still getting the jist of it to then decide which class you really want to play ( after which point I usually go rogue or mage)

Warrior, I just love the up in your face, fast paced combat. GW did warrior best IMHO.

EDIT: I feel like a noob everyone just uses it as a platform to learn the game from what I read.

Usually drift towards magic for the first run through, so Mage. Something about usually being able to blow shit up with just your hands makes you not want to wait for that.
