ok so i got an ipod a while back and up until a few weeks ago it was fine, my brother had been fixing my computer when he tried to install the 4.2.1 update, the ipod then went completely shut down and wouldn't turn on again or even work when plugged into a computer.
it just came up with an error message.
we called apple and they said it fried it or somthing and offerd me the same model for £80 but we should check with the apple store in b'ham first, we went there and sorted out a new "rebuilt"(a.k.a refurbished) one for £75.
so today i got a new ipod 2nd gen for a reduced-ish price of 75 pounds, i have synced it and just as i click the update button it gets stuck in a endless recovery loop.
so the update has killed 2 of my ipods now.
has this happened to anyone else?
i need to know please.
also is there any way of fixing it?
