raw recruits that don't understand the language of the drill instructors = those videos.
I saw the jumping jacks video 2-3 years ago and you have to remember that jumping jacks/pushups/situps arent known around the world as the gold standard(s) of PT
I mean, I understand your confusion that you don't really have any knowledge of the military but the least you can do is some simple research.
Those people in those videos signed up to try and make their country a better place and to make it easier for the US to leave Iraq, I think they command some respect for at least trying to do something positive for their country at the risk of their lives and the lives of their family.

^ I cite these British troops and their crappy cadence march under an American DI, it doesn't mean that they are incompetent, it means that they are training under completely different circumstances.
The Iraqis and Afghans have it even worse considering their previous military training revolved around putting farm animals and people in front of them to absorb bullets and shrapnel.

as the poster above me (Jwan) stated: not everyone does the same stuff for PT, and some dont even bother with PT at all
I wish you would get:
1) more up to date info
2) actual info about the current situation
3) A less biased view about the whole situation
Please dont use someone elses opinions as your own, as it doesnt bode well for you.
Make up your own mind, after getting your facts straight on the matter your discussing, or else you get whats happening here (the thread, that is)

i can not understand why they are fighting in any war... I though once Sadam Hussane was gone, the war would end. Suddenly all that area seems at war... What the hell happened to start it? I once heard the troops thought of it as WW3 the way it was going.
