Poll: Is Aisha Tyler well liked in the US?

I was marathoning the new Whose line seasons last night and just felt incredibly annoyed almost every time Aisha opened her mouth, and then I thought back to the Ubisoft presentation she did earlier in the year...

I mean, I remember thinking how unbearable she was during that presentation, especially that last bit where she was pretend crying about the rainbow six trailer... I mean.. really...

I just cannot stand her, she has an incredibly shrill voice, on whose line she has absolutely no sense of timing or delivery, I don't think I even cracked at smile at anything she said during the Ubi presentation or on whose line.

And I'm not one of those people who doesn't find female comedians funny, because I actually find a lot of female comics funny; but I honestly don't know how she keeps getting work, she almost ruins Whose Line for me which has been one of my favourite shows going all the way back to the UK version.

None of my friends even know who she is, she definitely isn't a household name in Australia, so I'm curious to see if she is popular with, what I would consider, her target audience.

I dont like her really, and i am in the US. She has this in your face "ellen degeneres" type attitude i find off putting in most people. That being said, i like her in the TV show Archer, not sure why.

Its a tricky subject. Archer is hysterical, so she gets a lot of points then and there. She's also one of those self-described 'nerdy' or 'gamer' women. Not that I don't believe her, but it IS a shield against criticism. The idea being that women who play games are so rare we need to treat them as an engaged species and yadda yadda.
So is she great? No, not really. She's not horrible either. She's just kinda' there and because she's pretty and willing to talk to fanboys and gamers, she gets a pass on bad TV shows and whatnot.

I just watch Archer and couldn't give a damn about anything else she does.

Maybe that's where I'm going wrong, I haven't seen Archer (I don't know why I haven't, it's probably in my backlog of stuff to watch), it's possible I could be swayed.

She is the new host of Whose Line is it Anyway (season 9 and 10, and presumably next season after it's recent renewal)

I thought Drew Carey was a fairly dull host and annoying at times..but damn, it is honestly unbearable, the first thing she says makes me cringe she has absolutely no rhythm or timing "Welcome to whose line is it anyway LETS MAKE SOME STUFF UP"

Haven't seen her outside of Archer, where I think she does a fairly good job.

But that's also a show that's very scripted and where her voice helps to increase the comedy. From the sounds of it, I'm glad I haven't seen her work outside of Archer.

Knowing she works on Whose Line I don't like her by default. Even if its just a steady paycheck for her. I just don't think very highly of improve.

I love her in Archer and some of her stand-up is fairly funny. So I suppose that I do like her.

I only know her from Whose Line. She's decent I guess. No real strong feelings either way. Not as a good as Drew but I heard he turned them down, so most replacements probably wouldn't be as good.

She was on the Gameovergreggy show and didn't know what the Vita was. She just about convinced everyone she was a legit gamer after all the hate she got for doing the Ubisoft conferences, then that happened. I guess it just proves Jim's point that the marketing for the Vita is so shit even Ubisoft (sort of but not really) employees don't know what it is.

She's really good in Archer but was pretty annoying in the Ubisoft conference. That's all I can recall seeing her in, which I guess isn't a great sign.

I've only ever seen (or... heard I guess) on Archer so from that alone, I guess I like her.

Are you serious with that "shield against criticism" line? Admitting you are a gamer or nerdy girl is nothing but an invitation for ridicule and accusations of being "fake" from millions of immature and insecure boys across the globe.

Im from the UK so we only know her as "oh yeah she was Ross' girlfriend in friends" or "oh yeah she does the voice of Lana in archer" (I dont even think archer is that popular in the UK)

She is hot and black which is always a good thing. Other than that I cant comment
