I thought it was on par with that of the first game. Truly outstanding. And Sinclair's voice was awesome, I don't care what anyone says.

The voice acting is good, but just not as good as the first game. Also is it just me or does Andrew Ryan sound different from the first game.
This is the only exception. I thought he sounded different too. Is it possible they got a different voice actor to imitate him as close as possible?
I checked and it's the same guy (Armin Shimer-something) but Ryan did sound a bit more tired than his usual zealous tone.

I liked Sinclair's voice acting I thought that was a pretty good "Southern gentleman" accent. I also liked Grace Holloway's voice actor, even if it did border a little bit on the stereotype side, but then again look at Tenanbaum and Suchong from the original and tell me they weren't stereotypes (But still well acted). Sofia was the only one who wasn't really doing anything for me, her voice was boring.

His name was "Sinclair".
Well I know now, but he was probably the worst voice actor in the game and I really didn't care for his character that much. I mean, his voice acting was much better than I've heard in other games, but for a game like BioShock, it was sub-par.

I thought Sinclair and Elenoar were a little grating at first but I got used to it really quickly and loved it.

Better than the first one. the Little sisters don't sound like upper class 18 year old women any more.

sinclair was as phony as they get. the voice actor tried WAY too hard to give him a southern drawl.

For me, voice acting comes in two categories: Annoying and Not.

If I notice the voice acting at all (i.e. Voice does not match the character, voice is annoying, emotion is wrong for given scenes, etc), then the game has done something wrong.

I didn't notice anything special about Bioshock 2, I found it perfectly workable.

It wasn't as noticeably great as Bioshock's, but then again it would have been difficult to do so. I didn't like Eleanor's voice at first, but it grew on me after a while.

Sophia's voice worked, but seeing as she is also the voice of the Locust Queen in Gears of War it felt too similar as she didn't change the voice at all.

Sinclair's wasn't bad really, the only one I didn't like was Stanleys, and Grace's was a little too stereotypical with a couple of phrases.

The voice acting was fine, in general. Sinclair's accent stood out for me; it sounded peculiarly pronounced, and I'm not sure how Eleanor got the British accent, but the voicing was all right.
She had a English accent when she was a Little Sister and her Mother's accent is also English?
