so ive been looking forward to seeing the movie, brave but ive been hesitant because i heard the second half gets very silly and a lot of the movie is obviously for children. has anyone here seen the movie? if so, how entertaining is it for adults? at 26, is it worth seeing or is too much of it just childrens humor?

My GF and I found it pretty great. Yeah, it was a bit silly it points (seriously, all the men in the movie were such...complete buffoons it was insane), but we both thoroughly enjoyed it.

I still watch things like adventure time at 20 (I REGRET NOTHING) so I don't know how much you should value my opinion, but I thought it was great. Not as great as Pixar's other works like toy story or Finding Nemo but still very good. Well, just Ok by Pixar's standards, but come on it's fucking Pixar.

Movie Bob has a great take on the movie with this article (I can't remember if it has any spoilers and I'm too lazy to re-read it so be warned).

Eeeeeeeeaaaaaaah not so much, It has some good moments but it's a bit padded at some points, But if you really want to see it then go ahead. It was alright, Definitly not the worst movie i've ever seen but it was average. :)

I'm running out of this thread afterwards (haven't seen the film yet, dont want spoilers), but nothing's wrong with entertianment for kids, besides, Pixar is always good at making films entertaining for everyone.
I like kid-movies, they're fun.

Good afternoon. I am 31 and I went to see Brave with several members of my family, all in adulthood.

The answer is yes. Have a nice day.

I haven't seen it but its a Pixar film and they haven't let me down yet, except maybe with Cars though that wasn't bad it just wasn't up to their usual stellar standards

Except Cars. I have no idea who that was aimed at.

It's like "Where The Wild Things Are", as you age, you can find deeper meanings and symbolism that you won't see as a kid. Brave and most Pixar movies do this, you see it as a kid, and you love story and characters, but as you age, you can see deeper into the story. Over ambition, and being ashamed of where you come from, making your own path are all things that a child won't really pick up on, but as an adult you still can learn from in the movie.

Also, it's pretty funny, and I think it was well worth the time.

If you're like me (and I've found other people who had this same reaction) you'll spend a good portion of the movie being amazed at Merida's hair...no seriously. If the budget strictly for animating that girl's hair alone wasn't 7 figures I would be amazed.

18, not typically into family oriented/ kids movies. Took my gf to see it, and it was pretty enjoyable, definitely on par with pixar's other movies (although not up to a Toy Story level).

Pretty good, but it lacks the emotional punch that say, UP and Toy Story 3 had. Possibly not a bad thing, there were no armies of wailing children when I went to see Brave.

I would have liked it to be a bit darker, exactly when is hard to say without spoiling it, but you'll know the bits. Still good though, also the little short before it is lovely.

It's overall a pretty good movie but by Pixar standards, not terribly great. There's a big problem with pacing in it which meant at several points I was wondering if the film was ending or if it had even gotten going yet.

21 year old here and yes, it is enjoyable for everyone. It was good, but not all that great. To be honest I felt underwhelmed. But it is still a fun film and enjoyable. So have a good time!

as an adult Pixar has never let me down...Wall-E was a close one, but we ended up giving it a slight thumbs up. Brave is up there with some of our faves :)

Pixar as a company makes movies that mostly goes for an all-age attraction, from 1-100 ....

Wait why am I explaining this to a guy with a pony avatar, is this a troll?

You're 31? Holy crap, thought you were like in your early twenties or so.

OT: Saw it (am now 27 years old) and loved it. Great movie, seriously, go see it. Let's face it OP, you and I both watch a show about pony's and friendship, you will enjoy this. :D
