Okay, so I've played through Fable II, done a lot of the side quests and completed the main quest.

Problem, I have to go and visit my family to complete the final mission. Thing is, I can't find them. I fast travel to the nearest position; Bowerstone Market Square but she's nowhere to be found in town. I've gone just about everywhere and I can't find my wife anywhere!

Obviously this is technically a class A bug; I can't actually complete the main quest. Has anyone else experienced this? I just want to know before I complain to Lionhead.

Haven't heard of this happening before. My copy's only going to be broken if I sit on it accidentally.

The last quest? You don't need to see your family for the last quest to my memory. Are you sure it's the final quest - and if you are, what section?

If you choose to save your family they return and your final part of the quest is to go and find them.

I've got the same problem, but it happened throughout playing the game: couldn't find my husband anywhere, or anything. Seemed a bit tempremental though, so sometimes he'd be there after I'd left my 360 for a few hours or something?
So yeah, completed the main quest and not all of the side quest yet, but this did happen to me.

go back to the house they were at?
I've got two families. I can find one of them but not the wife from my first marriage. My daughter is about.
I changed into a woman with the potion at the end and my daughter just seems to accept it, she just calls me mummy. My other wife won't sleep with me though because she's not a lesbian.

If you choose Love at the end you save your family and your are tasked with finding them. I didn't really get the point in the Money one other than to earn the achievement or just be 'evil'. I mean money is really easy to get in the game.

Only reason I chose money was for the achievement. Sorry, I didn't have a family on the character where I chose 'Love'. Too much hassle, I thought.

No, I don't remember that quest but I stopped playing the game because it's repetitive.
It does get a bit repetitive, but can you really get tired off shooting crotches?

I had that same problem. If you go on Fable II's website you can see the well over 100 page thread for bugs and glitches.

Before they release the expansion pack for this game, they need to fix all the glitches, there are a couple of game-ending glitches as well. It's crazy.

I bought my brother Fable 2 for Christmas, and (being a long-time gamer himself) he played the hell out of it, at least twice nearly to the end.

However, he told me that his Bad Guy got stumped because he received a mission to slaughter a village and one of the villagers is nowhere to be found while his Good Guy was stumped because his in-game wife vanished and his kid just stares at the wall all day and night.

Yet, he still plays a lot of it.

So, is Fable 2 functioning correctly? Definitely not.
However, is Fable 2 broken to the point where one can't enjoy it? Also definitely not.

Fable 2 probably belongs in a category of games along with BioShock and Dead Space that could be described as, "Games Yahtzee appears to hate because they've things you can easily nitpick, but are nonetheless fundamentally awesome games that you should play because (after all) they are awesome."

I had one major bug early on that broke the main quest at that monastery where you pick up Hammer. It's all over their message boards. I thought I was done with it. Then I just put it back in one day because I figured I'd just do some more side quests, and low and behold, the glitch fixed itself. And I didn't have any others the rest of the game.

Not that finally finishing it was worth all the headache. If there's anything broken about Fable 2, it's the horrible, unsatisfying, inexplicable bait-and-switch ending. I have never been so thoroughly disappointed with a game's third act. It's certainly a pretty thing, and it has fun elements, but overall, I can't help but feel I just wasted a huge chunk of time.

Yeah, I know Fallout 3 ended badly, and BioShock could have ended better. But in the end putting up with their glitches pays off, even if slightly underwhelming. Fable 2 is just a mess all around.

Sorry I'm ranting, but I only finished it yesterday and I need to vent.
