I live in an underground apartment, and i have tons of spiders here. i never kill them, as I don't dislike spiders. for the past few months i have lived here, i have not been bitten even once. why? is it possible that my blood is unhealthy or even deadly to them?

can someone explain why I never get bit?

EDIT: a friend told me my diet current could cause my blood to be toxic to spiders, I'm just checking to see if he's as big an idiot as they seem.

EDIT2: I love spiders. I dislike killing them, as i see no reason they should die. they keep the insects out.

Because spiders don't attack people unless aggravated. Humans are apparently not particularly tasty.

Also, they're kinda too big to be eaten.

But no, it wouldn't matter if your blood was toxic to spiders because they don't feed on human blood. If a spider bites a person, they do not suck the contents, they just inject enough venom to make the person sufficiently uncomfortable so they won't bother them again.
Or kill them in those few extremely rare cases where the spider has venom strong enough to actually kill a person.

. . .

Yes. Yes, you should. But it might be wiser to trap it in a jar and move it some place far away from your home.

I say your reply is dangerous and does not go far enough in stopping the black widow menace present in his bathroom.

What if it knows its way back? What if it has baby spiders lurking about the place looking to avenge the kidnap of their mother?

Yes. Spiders suck blood and it's entirely possible that your blood is poison. It might be Cyanide or even Arsenic. Be careful to not drink your own blood. Your blood may damage your body if ingested, since it's poison and all that. Spiders are notorious for their blood sucking. I had a spider infestation in my farm once and had two cows sucked completely dry in one night. I slept in a barrel of pesticide so that they wouldn't get to me. It was a terrible idea because spiders are also very good at opening barrels, also because I was sleeping in pesticide, and I had to go to a special center to have the poison removed. They gave me candy and called me special.

So, please be careful, and be proud of your ultra kewl gift. Not many people have poison for blood. Except for angsty teenagers; according to their blogs, at least.

On a related topic it is possible to be poisonous to mosquitoes/midges/other biting flies due to certain medicines, never seen one get far before dropping dead after biting me.

But more on topic, as said spiders don't drink blood, they just envenom you when you piss em off or if they're bored.

You do realize the spiders are waiting for you to get used to them being around before they regroup and attack, right?
eh, they would have a bit of a problem, as i don't think spider venom is enough to get me. at three i thought cyanide was candy, I'm still alive. also, never drink bleech, it taste horrible. and don't stand in the free way. you get my point.

ps: "don't go in lakes if you can't swim." i can't swim, that turned out well...

EDIT: i forgot about a staff infection that included my whole left arm and almost reached my heart.

No, they prefer the taste of your BRAINS instead. Every night spiders crawl up your nostrils, burrow through your sinuses, and NOM on your frontal lobe and that's why you get nightmares. Charming, huh?

...how the hell do you live in an apartment filled with deadly spiders and NOT be freaked out?

SERIOUSLY. Clean it the hell up. At this point, get a flamethrower and burn that shit to the ground.
the spider's were here when i moved in, and i LIKE spiders. as for fear, it is something i lost the ability to feel years ago, and was replaced with apathy.

What? Spiders don?t usually go for people. They aren?t like mosquitoes.

That said you really should get rid of them if they are venomous. Take it out of your house in a jar if you don't want to kill it. Put your hand down in the wrong place and you could get bit...I doubt you are resistant to their venom.

I nominate this "Thread Topic Of The Week".

OT: Spiders don't drink blood, so that's not the issue. Spiders just like you.
