it may be plausable but is it possible to draw a triangle on a sphere? me and my friend were debated about this and this is actually interesting.

DAMN CAT GET AWAY FROM ME!

*Gunshot*.......................................

Anyway, is it possible to draw a triangle on a sphere?

Depends. A triangle is a shape with three corners. You can, but it will probably not be well-measured.

Depends on your definition of a triangle, if it's a tree sided shape with three angles then yes, if it's a three sided shape who's angles add up to 180 then no.

It's absolutely possible. Might not precisely accurate but I could make it accurate enough it would look proper by eye.

If you are doing it in 3d software it is probably one of the easiest shapes to accomplish on a sphere. Considering all polygons are usually 3 sided (some would be considered 4 sided though, technically).

Of course. Just don't draw any lines inside the sphere. That would make it a pyramid, instead.

Yes, yes it is. Those little ones on footballs are proof.
They tend to be hexagons, mate.

OT: An actual factual triangle with straight sides? Difficult...
Agreed to the hexagons, I've seen a mix of hexagons and pentagons too though.

Anyhoo back on topic...I believe so, but the triangle would have to be scalene, as it would be incredibly difficult to measure out all the side lengths and angels correctly on a sphere...

perhaps this then?

I don't think that qualifies as a sphere. The sides would be flat.

Not sure. The sides have to be straight, right? How could you make straight sides if it's constantly curving?

...I can't even draw a triangle on a piece of paper. But, I will draw a picture of a horse on a peach for a small fee, but you have to give the peach back afterwards.

Of course you can, just as you can make approximate the area of a circle by using smaller and smaller triangles, until they're so small that for all purposes it is circular, the triangles just have an extremely small base.

Thats what a triangle is, no matter how hard you try you can't make a triangle without it being 180 degrees. Its just impossible to draw a right triangle.
