Well, if someone asked me that way I'd flat out reject them forever after. If it was the first time asking me out that is. So I expect it would be the same way for a number of people. Have the courage to go face to face. People use the web as a security blanket.

It's acceptable, but only if that's your only way of contacting them. If you have their number, call them. If you seen them face to face, that's the ideal. But asking on Facebook isn't bad per se; I've successfully asked girls out on Facebook before.

No! Shooting a text to someone asking them out isn't much different than asking them on the phone. I do think facebook is pushing it a little bit, though.

Just asking them out? That should be fine. Now, asking them to marry you through text, that would be tacky.
