Alright so I've been trying to get a job at a local gamestop for a few months now and i basically know everybody and the manager said he'd even hire at the end of april when they lose 2 people. I got to know a few guys in the store pretty well and I've started hanging out with them. They are 21 and I'm 17. My parents were cool with it the first time but now they think that they are all gay and want to molest me because why would 21 yr old want to hang out with a 17 yr old other wise. Yeah i think my parents are retarded but i do want some other opinions in here.
Edit: I'm asking if its weird to hang out with them.

Meh. If you're going to be an employee, I don't find it weird. It's weirder for THEM to hang out with YOU then vice versa.

Once your 18 anyways, that supposed "Age gap" goes out the window, so don't worry about it.

Lol. God forbid an "adult" be friends with a 17 year old. Please, friendship knows no age boundaries.

No, why would that be weird? It's only 3 years... How it that weird at all. Wouldn't be any different to hanging out with a sibling or anything really. Don't get it.

I don't think it's weird. Of course, I've always preferred company older than myself, at least when I was a teenager. I'm 21 and hang out with a guy who's almost 30 all the time.

They're choosing it because you put it there. A lot of people choose the "silly" option if you give it to them to pick. Leave it A or B, none of this C business.

I know i put it there because i felt obligated to put a silly option. i guess thats just the most you can get out of some people is for them to pick the funny one.

That reason sounds like something someone would mockingly pull out of their ass to make fun of an actual reason. So no, sounds fine based on what you wrote

Anything beyond "Yes/No" generally leads to problems. I voted the silly option.

I was dating a 20 year old when I was 17. Would your mom seriously freak out this much if you were hanging around a 21 year old woman? I know I had to tell my mom she was being a hypocrite when I started dating said 20 year old. She had reservations at first, but I reminded her that my brother dated an 18 year old at 15.
