I know I know there are tons of threads on portal 2

no doubt its a good game though I havnt gotten it yet

now if you know me, I am somwhat obssesd with game length (which actually seems a little silly considering I tend to stretch games out as long as possible)

but that aside I understand portal 2 isnt hat long which is ok since the first portal wasnt eather

but mabye I shouldnt be focusing on length, anyway without giving ANYTHING away and I mean ANYTHING yes or no?

Absolutely yes. Portal 2 is easily one of the best games so far this year, and despite the length (which is still a reasonable 6-8 hours for the singleplayer alone) is well worth full price. Valve has packed more polish and detail into every minute of this game than some developers put in an hour of theirs. You're missing out on a rich and genuinely fun and unique experience by not getting Portal 2.

I was a little disappointed in the length, I completed it in a single 5 hour sitting and didn't find any puzzles really that challenging. Am I satisfied with what I paid for it? Sure, but it left me craving a lot more.

I would say go for it. The game is longer than most AAA titles on the market and it's a ton of fun either way. With the upcoming free DLC and toolset, there should be more expansions to the single-player as well.

You'll also get some time out of finding in-game secrets, if that's your thing.

Oh, and AVOID ALL SPOILERS.

Out of curiosity [small](as in, not saying you're lying or anything like that)[/small], but did you count that time by the Steam timer or an actual clock? Steam told me I'd spent four hours in the game when eight hours had passed.

ummmmm yes. It's not 'long' but compared to a lot of games (FPS and action games mostly) it isn't really 'short' either. Unless you try to rush through it, which would be silly.

I paid $26 being it was on sale, the pc version, and I recieved an employee discount. But serioulsy it would have been worth full price. It's just really a fun game will lots of jokes, interesting puzzles, and totally off the wall story.

Most definitely. Even after you beat the main game, there is still the developer commentary, which provides some interesting facts about the game. Also there is both online AND split screen co-op.

Lets just say that if you're willing to pay $60 for a COD game, you'd be willing the pay double that for Portal 2. It is THAT good.

If you had gone to Gamestop on Saturday, you could've gotten it for $43-something. [http://www.tomshardware.com/news/FPS-Portal-2-Pc-gaming-Kmart-GameStop,12666.html] But my friend, who got it at launch and played it for 9 hours straight after midnight, it was damn well worth it.

I sat down at 11:50 p.m, credits rolled at 5 a.m.
Granted I rushed a bit since I only had one night to play it, only died twice, once due to a portal onto one of the walkways and I had some momentum and went flying off the ledge, second when the whole Sherlock vs Moriarty speech, I didn't see the far wall to portal on my first time.
Edit: I also only got stuck at one point, when you first go into the old labs, the half open door, I didn't realize that you could just portal behind it, I ended up trying to get momentum and leaping to the ledge beside one of the walls.

Totally worth it. I had no regrets about buying Portal 2 in full even after it was on sale at Gamestop.
