You forgot something.

Screenlookers should be strung up by their entrails, paraded around town, then fed to the Saarlac.

Screenlooking takes a lot of the strategy of competative games. Of course, it's unavoidable if your television is small, and so can be forgiven in that case.

Well... it depends. Sharing a screen is such a major pain in the ass for me. (Damn you, 1440x900 resolution monitor!) But my friends and I mainly play for fun, usually on the same side laughing at the pathetic AI. We don't really bother tracking who had the most frags or uses only t3h uber gunz. Plus, have you ever tried sharing a 10 inch screen? Trust me, it sucks. (Don't worry, I actually have a decent size CRT. Let's just say that that was the worst. Vacation. Ever.) Of course if you're anything like 99% of the "hard"core console gaming population it's probably the equivalent of ***** slapping somebody in the face with their own dead siblings or something else that's equally ridiculous.

It really really depends on the situation. If you're on a team, go for it. If it's competitive, especially if it has anything where you could possibly sneak up on a person, it's totally lame and the entrail stringing and the Sarlacc etc.

I catch my friend screen looking at me on Super Smash Bros. all the time. Those bastards.

Yeah it's fine.
Anyone who says they don't is a liar.
You will have to look at the other players screen on local multiplayer (splitscreen at any rate), he's looking at the same screen as you for chrissakes.

Screenwatching is not ok unless it's a co-op. If you have a really small screen then I suppose it can't be helped, but... um. I've completely forgotten what I was going to put after that, so screenwatching is bad, don't do it.

I don't, but only because I'm too focused on destroying any and all opponents, so I can't take my eyes away from my screen for long enough to register the enemy. Otherwise, I possibly would. Not that I need to. Forge was the best thing to ever happen to Halo online, so I almost never lose...
