Poll: Is the DSi worth it?

My precious DS Lite seems to be on the brink of uselessness. The hinge is broken, the L button is unresponsive, and its battery lifespan is a few hours at most. I haven't checked with Nintendo but I'm willing to bet with the price of repairs, I may as well just get a new DS. I didn't really want to get a DSi, but now I might not have much choice. However, Nintendo just recently announced that they're finally coming out with a brand new handheld system all-together, and I don't want to get a new DS now if it turns out the new system is coming out soon.

So my question is whether or not the DSi is good enough to warrant a purchase, even with a new system in the works.

I think it is enough to warrant purchase, as the screens are huge, the new features are great, and it isn't that expensive now. Only real drawback is lack of GBA port.

If I were you I would just wait for the new one,
and play something else for the time being.
