Poll: Is the new Left 4 Dead DLC going to be a disappointment?

By now everyone reading this forum should know about the new "Left 4 Dead" survival pack, and also the new critics choice edition. But after reading about what it will contain I have to admit that I'm rather disappointed in the new content. First of all I think the 2 new campaigns will only be used in versus mode, or at least that's what all the websites are saying, and while versus mode is fun it's not nearly as fun as the regular campaigns. Also the only other thing it's contains is a new mode called "survival" mode, which seems extremely ironic based on the fact that surviving is all you do in the game, so I'm not sure how great that will be. And to top it all off the Xbox 360 players won't even get the PC versions new map editor!! It seems like Valve wasn't listening to it's fans when they pretty much unanimously said the biggest way to improve the game was new content! So what do you think, will the survival pack be a worthwhile buy or a letdown?

I'm excited for it. I hope I'm not disappointed, but my bar isn't set super high.
Not to say it's set low, it's from Valve so the bar is reasonably up there, I'm just not over hyping myself up.

Isn't all of this free for PC? It's only the console versions that have to pay - and Valve doesn't actually want people to pay for any of these new content. The problem is, for example, Microsoft forcing Valve to charge a price. You can read up on these all over the web. It's part of the reason why TF2 on Xbox 360 got delayed and now has a price. Although, the real reason why TF2 still hasn't updated yet is because there is not enough space (Orange Box already takes up too much room) and they're working on optimization.

So basically, the L4D "expansion" is just a free update for PC users. If you got it on consoles, that was a bad idea. Valve games are always best supported on PC, so stick to PC versions.

1) Its free so shut up about disapointment.

2)The 2 versus maps are Blood Harvest and Dead Air the ones missing from the mode. NO NEW CAMPAIGN MAPS!

3)Survival mode is like a final stage of a campaign but with time. And promises to be a rush.

actually its more along the lines of, because you can't mod for a console. well, they probably could make some system but it would be horrible & MS doesnt want to host mod servers.

Depends whether or not you get a decent team. If you get stuck with idiots or arseholes, it becomes very much the opposite of fun. The same goes for any mode, I suppose though. Having said that, there do seem to be more of them on Versus than Campaign.

For something thats free, your doing a lot of complaining. Evaluating it beforehand serves no functional purpose because the whole point of doing that is to make sure you want to buy it or not, but since its free thats not really a problem.
