I honestly don't know. I would have to be in the situation to decide. The shock of the moment would change your decision very easily.

Life is precious - you only get one. Why should I have the power to dictate who does and doesn't deserve to live theirs?

Then who does? Why shouldn't you have that right?
See: above.
I'm simply not the kind of person who feels I should have that power.

can we agree we want hazy to be on this list?
So you deliberately attack me instead of my ideals?

I think we're done here.

I would. The possessions thing only sweetens the deal.
I'd spend a long time thinking about who to kill, whether I kill someone who is a global menace or just someone I dislike is quite an argument I could have with myself.

This asshole who went to my school his name is terry
that's pretty fucked up man.
What aspect of that statement was fucked up?
Yeah, how is that fucked up?

I'm not sure about the rest of you but when I was in high school there were some real fucking assholes. Kids that would steal from you, beat you up, make fun of you during class in front of the entire class, just generally push you around like you were garbage.

This was especially distressing to me because I was the eldest child of 4 in my family and so felt I had to be "strong" or a "protector" to my siblings since my parents weren't really in the picture, and this bullying was going on in grades 9-11. Here, high school starts in grade 8, and my sister is 2 years younger; so when I was in grades 10 and 11 getting beat up or made fun of publicly, my sister in grades 8 and 9 watched, and probably was sad and disappointed that her older brother who had always seemed like a hero and a great protector to her was the kid that the popular kids made fun of and didn't stand a chance.

It got to the point one day where I went crazy. I went to a hunting store and bought a knife, and practiced with it, and tried to work it in with the martial arts I knew. I brought it to school with the full intention of threatening those kids with it, regardless of maybe getting expelled. There were times they would fuck me up pretty badly, like kicking out a couple of my teeth outside at night or while waiting for the bus, or spreading embarrassing rumours throughout the entire school about my family, which was just getting by. If they had done this to me on the wrong day I would not have hesitated to stab one of them in the eye or the neck. I fantasized for weeks about them getting run over by cars or whatever, because these kids took any dignity I had from me, and showed it.

In the end you can stand up for yourself all you want--which I did--and not look like a coward--which I didn't--but it didn't change the fact that it was me versus everyone else. In grade 12 things finally calmed down and they realized they were childish for the things they did, and I was immensely relieved, and even made some friends before I left. But those were hellish years.

So yeah, if there were no reprecussions, I would do it on the spot.

Not every life is precious. If you got the chance, would you kill Osama bin Laden?

Be that as it may, you have one shot at it, and I don't want to be held accountable for robbing somebody of that chance.

I'm not sure what the point of this was.

However, referring to your first post: Let's say you choose to shoot a serial killer, gang banger and an overall all-star degenerate and psycho. Now, more than likely his whole family has abandoned him, he has no friends, and lives directly from hurting other people. Would you feel bad about stabbing him to the back of the head? Noone's going to feel pain about it, lives are only going to be saved. <----- hypothetical
Well, that poses an interesting scenario, but I offer this as a rebuttal: would ending his life really make a difference? I mean, violence against them in particular certainly wouldn't revert all of the misery he caused others.

Yes, I'll murder a fruitcake. I will viciously devour it and tear it to pieces, and swallow every last piece.

Calumon: I'd kill for a glass of milk!

Anyone would do anything if there were no consequences, dude.

But my answer is, yes, I would. There are one or two people I genuinely hate. I won't explain.

one last thing before i go to work. the op started this thread as a hypothetical situation where there was no repercussions at all. this includes any impact to anyone who ever lived aside from your target. it would be as though they never existed. for you to come to the escapist, let alont the internet in general, and talk about morals and whats okay and whats not you my friend must live in a bubble and or have forgotten the internet is a place with no morals. hell where talking about a place that is based on porn and piracy. so if you want to talk about whats right and wrong go to law school and become a lawyer or some shit.

P.S. i work in a morgue. so i see the dead all day.

Life is something that I just couldn't take away from someone. It's your only shot, even if it means spending that lifetime in a jail cell.
In my eyes, anything is better then death, because you only have one life. Once it's over, it's over.

Taking a life is a very serious thing. You're robbing somebody of everything they know, or everything they will come to know, and I don't think I would be able to deal with myself after that.

I'll pass.
with out the psychological repercussions ass hat

molesgallus said:
"without any repercussions. Not even psychological repercussions; you could choose to forget the whole event"
So me being able to forget the whole situation totally means I have the right to put their family and friends through the grief of losing someone?

How about you think before you type.
You would be able to deal with it, however.
