Whenever I wish to comment on a thread, it seems that more and more often, I am beaten to the punch. I end up then quoting the person and saying something like "what I was going to say".

Am I living the gamer stereotype or something?
It's good that it's not always the same person, though.

P.S. has this happened to you, and if so, how often?

Thats why you say something original. Or just write what you want to say. No one cares if you were ninja'd.
Also aren't threa made to state your opinion? So if some one has the same opinion as you and types it first does that mean you can't state yours anymore?

Doesn't matter. Just say what you want to.
If you end up using the exact same wording as the other person, then you might want to examine what you're doing a bit more closely.

Of course not, nothing wrong with quoting someone and just saying "This".

It gives more credibility to the other person's statement.

Y'know, I would quote one of the comments here and then say that that was what I was going to say, but I think I'd lose all respect for myself.

This forum does move a lot faster than others I am used to, I think that might be due to the number of threads that spring up per day though. I mean, seriously, how many prototype threads have gone across the front page of the gamer thread in the last week? 50? It's a bit ridiculous. I think the forum would be better off if you had one "official prototype thread" then everyone can discuss all manner of prototype issues in there (whether you think it has bad graphics, what your favourite weapon is, whether you think it is similar to inFamous) rather than spamming out the front page with 20 different topics, each with about 20 posts in them.
