Im sorry if this website has been seen/posted before, but i just recently was showed it by a friend of mine who thought it was hysterical. It's a christian video game review site. Now i know christians are against most things with games, but this overdoes it, and goes a few more miles. According to this website, halo, fable, and bully promote homosexuality, tetris is a soviet mind control weapon, and solid snake is a servant of satan sent to finish his work, and also promotes drug usage. Theres a bunch of other games he has outrageous claims towards too.

Scroll down the page to where he reviews non-secular games, and tell me your opinion. Is this a serious website, or is this a complete joke to mock religion? This whole website seems quite serious, but i really didnt think it was possible to be this ignorant as well.

I believe this has come up before, and the conclusion is always that it's a joke site. There's actually some proof somewhere on the page IIRC, but ~meh~.

And christens are not "against most things with games".

Just to point out, as a Christian that loves computer games, this site doesn't speak for all of us.

However, this site is funny as all hell, so I think it's a joke site.

Just because of the sheer absurdity of the arguements being presented, I'm going to assume that this is some kind of joke (hopefully).

And most Christians are not against "most things in games." In fact, most of the really devoted ones I know don't really care because they know it's just a game. The "crazy religious zealot against everything" is a sterotype wrongly applied to people who have faith.

While I'm inclined to believe my fellow Escapists who have said that it was concluded that the site is fake, I will say that there really are people out there who are just that crazy. Someone was telling me once about a game set after the rapture where you get points for killing all the people who got left behind for being heathens, and there really is a big movement for Christian games amongst the Evangelicals, so any of the games he mentions could easily be real (Seriously, as I've mentioned all too many times before, it is my misfortune to live in Oklahoma, and this here is Bible land. I meet the people who actually believe this shit [and yes, moderates, I know not all Christians are the same, but we shouldn't forget that some do believe this]).

Well, The Onion looks like a legit news site until you start reading. Same thing here. I think it's all joke.

What does it matter though?
If it's legit, then it's hilariously ridiculous.
If it's a joke, it's incredibly well-done.

The main content suggests it is legit, the stuff on the right hand side suggests it isn't.

And this site is equally hilarious. Think Onion meets fundamentalist religion.

hahaha, that's hilarious

It has to be a joke, look at this:

"Velociraptors: Today terrorize the goat herders of Puerto Rico and are rumored to guard the remains of the Ark on Mt. Ararat. They have become vicious since the Fall as the result of the effects of genetic entropy, making them too dangerous for the sort of interactive public experience we have in mind."
