He used to be, but now he is uninspired and just makes piss jokes. also I didn't realize it was traditional British comedy...
edit: This guy is a lot better. He reviews games before they come out.

Hes funny but does not actually tell us anything about the game. The crackdown one was genius

This guy is alright. A few smiles, but nothing as funny as ZP has ever been.

ZP at the moment is a bit on and off, but I'd put that down to the games being on and off. Singularity sounded like one of the most boring games made long before it came out.

He gives me some interesting and differing views that due to my own intelligence and mental processes I'd never normally consider consciously.

Humour may come because of what he says or what I think about what he thought, and generally ends up being enjoyable.

Like anyone, he has funny moments and less funny moments. Admittedly I haven't found any laugh-out-loud moments for a while, and those in the past I've watched so many times they've got a bit old now, but he's still amusing enough to keep me watching. So yeah, I'd say he's pretty funny. He's a bit like Charlie Brooker, I suspect deliberately so since he openly admits to being influenced by him, but he doesn't have Charlie's incredible turn of phrase - not a criticism, really, nobody but Mr Brooker himself has that gift.

In my opinion not much has changed since i started watching his reviews. Yes i laugh.. I keep coming back. For you people that say he isn't funny anymore maybe you should stop watching for awhile? Kinda seems like this thread was made to do nothing more than hate on him. Eloquently yes.. but hating still!

PS: I think he is 100% a reviewer of games. He just chooses to talk about the negatives more. Hypercritical comes to mind.. but does so in a funny way as to entertain people.

he used to be funny
but if yo watch someone over a long time they stop being funny
he should try some new stuff in his reviews
he is still very entertaining though

YES. Did you see his review of Just Cause 2? I WANT THE GAME HE DESCRIBED.

He was, but he just needs to change things up a bit. Regardless of whether or not he's funny though, I agree with most of his opinions and listen to his reviews because of that.

It doesn't matter what he does I hope he continues. He's an artist not afraid to say what he shouldn't be saying and I respect him for making a public appearance without a bulletproof car.

As a game satirist he does rather well though his material is lacking at times. If anything we all go through stints in ideas to work with, anyone who has walked into a comedy club or even worked on skits knows this. There is a wealth of titles to work with in this industry however. Perhaps if Yahtzee considered reaching backwards *conjures up image of him pulling a copy of Dune II or LOCUS out of his buttocks* and did a skit about those games or anything else that's older he might find some inspiration in the past. I'm honestly impressed that he's gone on for this long still providing me with a chuckle every now and again. It's not that he's "not funny" because he absolutely is, it's just there's only so much you can say in about five minutes and to concisely but humorously get your point across is quite a task that he's managed to deliver upon. I sort of think to a lesser extent, that Yahtzee is Jay Leno's Doppleganger if that makes any sense. You have to respect the amount of work it takes to actually do what he does but at the same time loathe the execution. In short I would say Yahtzee is far from done not by a long shot and I look forward to his future rants.

Am I the only one who got "HERPADERPA I DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT" from this post?

Added http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-it-crowd/4od to the first post as an example. Everyone loves the IT Crowd.
Yes... yes you are...

Also when you say Classic British Comedy, I'm thinking more along the lines of Fawlty Towers, Monty Python etc...
