I'm English, so..not really, my favourite places are all places i've been to with epic mountains and scenery :).

I do however get excessively defensive when people criticise England, or do that mangled thing in assuming Britain/The UK=England. Or in general say something stupid about things they don't know, which I must say I do a fair bit..but then I'd hope people would have the good sense to tell me to go away and stop being stupid in turn ^^.

Other than the whole "not too friendly of the gays", I love Italy. If I hit the lottery and was choosing somewhere to retire to, Italy would show up. I'd have a places in Sicily and Milan. But the economy isn't the best, especially in southern Italy. I would also so love to not to have to drive.

But Italy is really the only other country I've spent even modest amounts of time in (Canada doesn't count).

So much patriotism and we're not even a page through. Dear god.

Singapore was my favourite country until recently, when I discovered male homosexuality was illegal... yeesh, one sill law and you can ruin the whole thing. Now I don't really have a favourite.

Reinforcing stereotypes!

Yes I am American and I do believe I live in the best country.

I don't always approve of my governments actions, but I still believe that the USA's core principles are in the right.

Well i've never been outside of America before so I guess it is. I'd have to actually visit some other countries before I could decide what my favorite country is.

Nope. I'm from Australia, I think my favourite country would be Finland, or maybe Denmark, for many reasons. The social supports, the friendliness of the people, the (relative) sanity of the governments. Plus the weather's not constant furnace heat like it is here.

I live in the Dominican Republic.

I was almost stabbed because I had nothing worth stealing on me.

Yesterday there was a nation-wide protest, a few people even died.

Would it happen anywhere else, people would care...

But since we'r next to Haiti, nobody does.

Need I say more?

With the exception of Australian Rules Football, bogans, Kyle Sandilands and thinly veiled racism, then yes, it is my favourite country.

Canada is definately my favorite country. We may riot over some pretty silly thing but i think weve acheived a pretty balanced level of socialism to make everyone happy.

I'll admit my home of America isn't the best country out there, but it's my favorite. Why? Because I can put some 00 buckshot in the dumb son of a ***** who dares to break into my home.
