We are talking about the music library program, not the online store here. As for the question, I say 'a resounding NO', for the reasons that it forces me to duplicate my library, is horrably glitchy, and is another example of Steve Jobs trying to steal our freedom. Forcing me to use it is not very endearing either.

Edit: I run it on a Vista rig, and get nothing but grief for it. Its probably ok on an Apple

I use Poddox. Aside from a few stability quirks and the lack of progress indicator when mass-moving files, I love it. Small footprint and it does the job.

Never used it, so I can not really comment on it. I normally use WinAmp. I agree that it is rather low to make you use a certain media program to put music on your iPod.
But I don't have an iPod, so I am FREE! :D

I was forced to use Macs all throughout high school, and I don't really care for iTunes one bit. It was just.. Awkward, to me.

It has probably changed since the last time I used it, but I'm happy with WMP, scary as it is.

I use iTunes most of the time and don't mind it but I have had a few problems with it. Such as getting "scratchy" noises from CDs and a few songs importing over the top of other ones but apart from that I don't mind it.

Mine works okay. I don't like the store much, but the actual library has never given me any problems.

I like it, my only complaint is that checking or unchecking those little boxes is SUCH a hassle. I hate that. Otherwise I have no complaints.

Never really used it enough to really form an opinion. What I have used has caused me little trouble.

I run it on Vista; I've never had a problem with it and it's never glitched for me.

I did have to get used to it after switching over from Windows Media Player, but that's a different story and it didn't take me very long.

You can select all the songs you want to check or uncheck (by highlighting one song, holding shift, and using the arrow keys), and then right clicking and selecting "check selection" or "uncheck selection." Unless you have a Mac, in which case I have no idea.

I'm uh... pretty sure you're doing it wrong. No offense, but if you think you HAVE to use iTunes to sync your iPod, you've not done your research and so have no right to complain. Here: http://www.simplehelp.net/2007/07/08/10-alternatives-to-itunes-for-managing-your-ipod/ A nice list of programs that work pretty well for iPods that AREN'T iTunes.

...Now, that being said, I like iTunes, and it's never given me any problems at all, but then I'm running it on a MacBook.
