Poll: Jimquisition: like or dislike

Now that he's done putting in cocks drawn by 4 year olds, he's boring.
Admittedly I hated it at first, now I'm just bored.

While he may have a good point sometimes, EVERYONE does eventually. He just comes off as trying waaaay to hard to piss people off by saying obviously trollicious things like "thank god, for me", or
"Sterling's cause is more righteous and noble than anything a soldier has ever, ever done."
No one is actually falling for that... are they?

If you don't get the sense of humour he's obviously displaying, then the show isn't for you.

Hell, I tell people i'm the best thing on this earth and that god answers to me, doesn't mean I actually mean it, or that i'm trolling, it means i'm taking the piss out of myself.

I get his humour, so I like it. People just don't seem to get his humour here, which is gonna hurt his show.

I wish I could change my vote. When I voted that he was poor I based it on my opinion of his first 2 videos, but then after voting I remembered he had 2 other ones.
Now I think of him as average.

I actually enjoy him. Granted, after his first two videos on this site I thought he was a crude and self-obsessed douchebag, but now that he's toned down the dick levels and gotten rid of the MS paint pictures it's becomes apparent that he makes some decent points. I've enjoyed his contributions to Extra Consideration and have found myself agreeing with several of the Jimquisition episodes. Take a taste of some of his more recent contributions and see if your opinions change. They may well not, but there's certainly a chance you'll find him tolerable.

He pretty much came out of nowhere, but heck i give him the benefit of the doubt since i still view him as a diamond in the rough,

I'm an avid fan of a guy called "Pat Condell" so that is why i somehow quite experienced with the jimquisition type of rantings.

I understand all his jokes, I just think they are terrible. He goes past the point of taking the piss, and all the way to "says things that are so outrageous he's trying to make people angry".

I guess I just don't understand how saying drawing duke nukem's balls is more righteous than being a soldier is humor. It's clearly just trying to make people angry as he obviously knows he isn't better.

From watching that video it seems like he could actually be an interesting game reviewer. I'm not really a fan of the reviews The Escapist staff do so I wouldn't mind seeing him doing game reviews alongside Yahtzee, going for a more informative video instead of something humour based.

that 'they can thank god, for me' line makes me wanna break his knee caps from the raw arrogance

ok, the MS paint images aren't that good; then again they might be a significant characteristic; and as these images somehow fit into the show pretty well, i guess they actually ARE good

His videos dont do it for everyone, much like most of the videos on here.

I dont know how i feel about his show, i watch it on release day, i watch the whole thing, i have a bit of a think and i move on, i honestly wasnt aware of any humor other than the whole hyper-arrogance thing. I dont laugh, i dont cringe, i just watch.

Not everything will gel with everyone, for example i just cant get into Anthony Saves the world, i think the idea is good, the show looks good, and i even tried to watch the whole series once the finale was aired, and after 4 eps i just dont care. And do not get me started on the music shows...not a gap in the market or a niche that needs to be filled...

I think Jim Sterling is fucking trash that doesn't belong on The Escapist.

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed or found funny people/musicians/artists who say controversial things purely for the sake of shock value. I might have been nine.

Also, I saw someone say that he tries way too hard, and I agree with this statement. Keep in mind, I'd rather someone try way too hard than half ass it. But yes, he tries way too hard.

What are we trying to achieve here? How we honestly think? Give him a break, he's sarcastically self-loving, when he gets serious has some fairly good comments, and when he is sarcastic he's occassionally funny, that latest one he did regarding the shooting game was fairly well constructed I thought.

Mostly indifferent. Not a great show, but not necessarily a bad one. It would at least get the rating "good" if he didn't need to reference genitalia at least once every minute.

Pretty much this. I don't like him, but I don't hate him either. I watch his videos to see what he has to say. Sometimes, he has some pretty good points, I think. Sometimes he's funny. Sometimes he doesn't have either.

Seriously guys, if you don't like him: Good for you! Don't watch him.
If you do like him: Good for you! Keep watching him.
And everyone: Grow up.
