Poll: Just clearing something up

Recently I have seen people say "I have seen that most people on this forum love half life 2" and then go on to review it as a average game (I respect their reviews though my opinion differs). So I want to see how correct the statement that this forum in general loves half life 2. If you chose glowing you love it. Average or bad goes against the statement.

Well, I don't know about everyone else, but half life and half life 2 are 2 of my favourite games of all time, Infact it was half Life 1 that got me into shooters in the first place.
Piece of legend, and i doubt many people would disagree.

Yeah, I don't get. Half Life fans seem to whine about how Halo is overrated and given inflated scores in porfessional reviews, but to me Half Life doesn't seem any different. I don't get the whole masturbatory fan worship of Gordon Freeman either.

It was a good game, id go as far to say a great game if it wasn't for ravenholme scaring the absolute shit out of me. (I was young at the time, gimmie a break)

Its one of those "Must Play" Games.

Loved it, until recently, ever since season 5 its been going downhill, and its nearly at the bottom.

Well when looking at a game from a reviewing standpoint I tent to judge from the time, but recomend for the present.
As such I would give HL2 a good score but wouldn't tell people to buy it as a stand-alone and to expect the game to show its age, but to play it in one form or another.


I understand the dislike of Half-Life, just not why people feel the need to rant about it.
