Introducing Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman, alongside bringing back Superman, and the overall plot of battling Steppenwolf, and the 2 hour legnth and the switch in directors is guarrenteed to make the movie a mess.
There's nothing "messy" about the plot, nothing extraordinary about a 2 hour movie, and nothing that might reflect the unusual directorial mix up. I maintain it doesn't even matter who directs these movies to begin with, they're all board room movies. Directors are just part of the stunt. Get the wacky director to direct the wacky movie, get the female director to direct the female movie, get a black director to direct the black movie, etc.
Justice League isn't bad, it's just mediocre. Get the team together, polish the teamwork, fight the big bad and his legion of vaguely humanoid cannon fodder. You've seen it in I don't know how many movies already. Justice League does nothing new other than play with cool new toys (the characters), all of which fall into neat stereotypes. The leader. The chick. The smarts. The muscle. The funnies. And the wild card. You can probably already figure out who's who by that checklist alone, I don't even need to bring up names. This is all kind of expected anyway. As for the new guys (Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg) they're all rather meh. Flash got some laughs because he's got that asshat referential humor people like. Cyborg is just boring. Aquaman is kind of a cipher. Movie never really gives him much use as Aquaman, he's just another dude throwing punches in the final battle.
I've got friends who treat the coming of each new superhero flick like the death of cinema, which is a little silly, but overall there's nothing bold or exciting about Justice League. I can't imagine anybody getting too worked up for or against this movie.
