Sorry I kept hitting the enter button by accident (while doing the poll options) so i had to edit.

Anyways, I love Killzone 2 but why disable the bots altogether? The night I got it, I was playing in a password protected room with my friends with bots to fill in the rest of the slots. I was surprised that we were able to gain rank experience from playing just us 4 guys versus bots, but I figured they made it so that you get a whole lot more from playing against human players only.
And then I tried playing a few rounds with people only and no bots and saw that I did get a lot more rank experience than when I was playing against bots for the same amount of time. The fact that no one had reached a high enough rank yet to use all the special badges and weapons and what not made it a little bit easier in a way, but as usual playing against AI isn't quite as hard as playing against a thinking opponent.
Later that day my cousin got his copy and found out that the new patch didn't allow for bots.
So now there are the lazy people who ranked up on bots and "don't deserve the rank experience", the elite gaming race that can only have fun "playing against real people", and the unlucky guys who didn't get it at midnight who feel like the guys who ranked up on bots have an unfair advantage.
Seriously, I don't even know why they tied the ranking system to unlocking weapons and badges and allowed you to rank up ("cheaply", for all you guys that follow the gamer's bushido or whatever) in the first place. I thought the point of the ranking system was to reward those who invested more time into the game (a.k.a. "more pro/skilled/1337/etc."). Call of Duty did pretty well with the "prestige" system, where if you wanted, you could attain an even higher rank. Not because you needed to unlock access to cool new features or anything. But just because you're that awesome.
Hopefully they will make it so you can't rank up in private games too or else we will just suffer from people trading points. Maybe they can divide matches so it's more like Halo 3's ranked and unranked matches or something.
