Poll: Killzone 2, your view...

hey just wanted to see peoples view on the game, i got it today thanks to play.com sending it a day early and i've completed it. My view on it is, its incredible. The gameplay, immersion, and obviously the graphics. The final boss, has anyone managed to acheave the trophy for beating it in under 20 mins? I managed in 16 minutes with alot of cursing. I also believe that the multiplayer is unbelievable. It flows perfectly and with a hell of a lot to unlock and alot of depth in the customisation available, it appears a high percentage of my time will be on there. Overall its my favourite current gen game, and in joint first for favourite game of all time. (obviously i have only had it one day and maybe i'm still all worked up, and in a week ill hate it, but i doubt this very much as i have a clan to play with online) Anyone on the ps3 wanting a game add me on "McBenji". Okay, what is the general view of the game?

I also got it early thanks to play, its awesome!! Only had 1 multiplayer game thus far and enjoyed it very much, perhaps a CoD4 beater for me, gonna have a serious bash at it tomoz, kept kicking me out of online, add me too im O_277 ^_^

cool, yeah i'll add you tomorrow, im having a days worth of it online tomorrow i loved cod4 but it got boring for me after 21 days online play time so its deff a cod beater for me now. The story is far more engrossing. And online mode seems way fresher. I have only played one game online too, got 190 kills and 207 points

Its not a game I'll be playing soon(mainly cause I dont have a console, then again I have my neighbours to nag) cause frankly.....it looks like a generic shooter compared the pack of FPS I have on my PC. Maybe if it had a long and decent campaign I might be bothered to.

Its probably a great game but whatever its offering I probably already got.

To me, Killzone 2 was a bit like the console version of Crysis, all flash graphics but mediocre gameplay. The whole game felt like it was playing at half speed, and the controls seemed way too awkward to use out of the presets your given.

It does look very nice, but I really couldn't find anything there to really make it deserver all of the rave reviews its getting, it played and felt like any other generic brown and grey shooter out there with an added awkward cover system then never seemed to work as well as it should.

But what does what I think matter, its still going to sell by the bucketload.

That's odd. I only played the demo and it just got me 10 times more hyped for the game itself. I thought the controls were pretty good actually. I used Alternate 2 and I got used to it after 10-30 seconds of using it. And about it playing at half speed, I rather liked that about it. All the characters have a certain weight to them.

From what I've seen, I think Killzone 2 is the best next gen shooter ever made and it's one of the best shooters of all time. I'm certainly not going to be playing COD4 once I get the full game. Killzone 2 won't kill Halo, but it'll completely butcher the Call of Duty series, for now at least.

No but its up there - its an extremely polished game, but the best FPS around its not.

Lol, when you study medicine at uni you learn about objectivity quite early on. Yes it'll be subjective as all reviews are. Nice spotting

Killzone 2 will never beat a game like half life 2, but I still think its the second best FPS out there falling short of Half life but managing to beat the original perfect dark and COD4. I do get a lot of stick for liking it. Mentioning it in the Game Trailer forums will automatically get you the label of fanboy (I'm not to sure why?). All my friends hate even though they haven't played and my closest friend is always quick to remind me that the voice acting isn't that good and instead I should have no social life lock myself in my room and play WoW and Eve online until my brain because so full of grind that I could leave and get a job as a pneumatic drill.
