I am already getting one (goth one from Tripp NYC), so don't try to discourage it.
Just trying to get some opinions

I went to Scotland recently. There were old men in kilts all over. Not pleasant.
Where in Scotland were you at the wedding festival or something?

I assume you're a proud scottsman if I see you in a Kilt. If you are not one and wearing it, you can, but dont whine if people think you are scottish.

So long as they wear something underneath it in case of a breeze I couldn't care less. It's cultural for many and a fashion statement for others.

I don't mind kilts. So long as the guy wearing it has a sexy Scottish accent and he's tall and hot.

Yeah well I'm a guy and I'll not mince words...I don't like partially naked men wearing skirts. Now if your a girl I wont complain obviously. Though either way I'm not discouraging it...just saying.

I'm curious as to what a goth kilt is like.
Black. Like goth trousers, but kilt-ier.

Back to the topic: Yes, I'm going to buy one when I run into some money.

While tradition is all well and good, sometimes it's good to move with the times, if only to save the eyesight of others ;). Especially for the older generation kilt wearers..
