I did want to buy one for the dance games, a few party games and Child of Eden (So I'd have a more accessible form of gaming to share with family and certain friends). I have yet to because it's still so expensive. I'm not paying $200 to get the kinect and then money on top of that to get the games I want. Maybe if it gets below $100, till then I'm holding off.

As a game device, it was laughable then and it's laughable now.

Come talk to me when there's a motion-controller developed that uses a fully-rotational gyroscope to provide feedback.

Yup, it's still shit.

When you need false advertising to promote a product it should tell you a thing or two.

I vote No for gaming.

But the tech can be useful for computers in environments where touching things is a big no-no.

What perplexes me is why they give voice supported gameplay mechanics only through the kinect mic but not through regular mikes? It's not really worth getting unless if you're planning to trade in for an Xbox Slim that comes with one already.
