I had a arguement with some friends today about which Star Trek Captain was best. It was unsettled and I want to know who is everyone's favorite.

James Kirk... because he constantly got laid by sexy Alien chicks... in almost every episode. Also, he must've ripped his shirt like 50,000 times in the series. He'd just take any excuse to rip his shirt and show off his well-muscled chest.

I haven't seen much star trek, but I think I like Shatner more than Stewart, so Kirk it is.
This made a thought cross my mind: I want Bill Shatner to be the big-name voice actor in a Bethesda RPG they kill off.

I don't ever watch the shows, but Patrick Stewart's is a pretty cool old guy so Picard

And Kirk is iconic but Picard was handled better by a top actor and had actually good scripts.

Admittedly I haven't seen as much original Trek as I have Next Generation, but that's because original Trek was terrible. Stewart was much, much more intense, and always more fun to see on the screen.

Weird Al may think it's a tough decision, but for me it's a snap. Picard over Kirk every day and twice on Sunday. Better actor, better-written character, better show.

Pricard is funnier definitely but I think Kirk was a better character and it was a better time for Trek overall in my opinion when Kirk was captain
