Poll: L4D2 or MW2?

so, after spending the better part of a month broke, I've just run in to a sum of money (£40). I've been a little deprived in the gaming department, replaying prototype a couple of times, waiting for the Christmas salvation. Now, with this money in hand, two November prospects have caught my eye. The Controversial Left 4 Dead 2, sequel to the fantastic original released nary a year ago, and the controversial Modern Warfare 2, described as "The most anticipated game of the decade". Bearing in mind that I am a PC gamer, and my rig is, though not fantastic, capable of playing any modern game on minimum settings. So I ask you, do I head out at this very moment and buy Modern Warfare 2? do I hold on to the cash until the release date next week for some zombie slaying? or do I forgo these two options, and buy something else?

Save your money and get Crash Team Racing, it will be far better then both of those games you suggested and you save money :

Because of the excessive gore and the Australian fiasco. And I've already got TF2, and borderlands just doesn't appeal to me. Thanks for the suggestions though!

Out of the two I would get MW2 but also I'd get Borderlands.

If you like zombies and loved L4D1 then L4D2. It seems like more of the same, but bigger and better.

If you like being robbed or paying 60 bucks for a mediocre and criminally short rehash of half a functional game, then get MW2.

Otherwise, get anything else that's NOT MW2. I'm personally getting L4D2 and then holding out till Bad Company 2. It'll be worth it [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvsP_DL7eD0&feature=channel]. The Frostbite engine looks AMAZING.

Well, you can agree with me that borderlands hasn't received nearly as much media coverage as L4D2 has for it's gore, although most of it is just down to prejudiced australian censors more than anything else.

Get l4d2 if you already have tf2 because you get bills hat if you preorder now. Buy l4d2 because if you enjoyed l4d one you'll enjoy this one. If you buy it off steam too you can get the full violence version cant you?

I feel for you. PC gamer mainly but I picked a 360 up a while ago just for games that I feel work better with a gamepad, and sometimes (like in this case) I just can't wait longer than everyone else.

Well, I dunno. When I had the original, none of my friends had it and actually berated me for playing it, yet I had a blast just playing online with other PCs.

If you can find a good group of people to play with than go for it. You can meet some awesome teams online, or complete douchebags.

yeah, good point. some of the games we worked together like a team, communicated and everything. everybody got along, I actually added a couple of people via steam after a game. Some other times though... well, let's just say they enjoyed flirting with the witch...
