Poll: Language mix-ups

Okay so this Spanish speaking guy has a name that I use on steam and almost everything else( No not sci-fi luver 437). I cant talk to him in english so I have to use a translation thing on the internet every time he says something.This is in a chat room. I have to translate my English to Spanish. Very annoying but very ROFL.


Have you ever had something like this before?

But yeah, except I had to translate the Spanish for my friends when a few of us went down to Mexico.

No, every foreign person I have spoken to online has taken the time to learn English, and I hate myself for not being knowledgeable enough to speak their language.

I usually speak English to my roommate, she responds to me in Japanese.
We understand each other just fine.

I don't think I've met anyone online who couldn't speak English, don't most countries teach it as a second language now considering its the language of trade and the west.

Still I always feel a bit guilty when talking to multilingual people because I haven't learnt their language.

Well I'm learning 2 languages and I'm already bilingual. Learning German and Mandarin

I generally speak English when online, but switch to Arabic when I meet the occasional Arab. I feel more comfortable speaking Arabic.
