Fire. It goes with the voices in my head telling me to burn everything.(just kidding, don't freak out)
I'm suprised that the choices are pretty much even, and I'm even more suprised that earth is the most popular. I'm especially suprised air is so popular since it's the only that hasn't been given an extra ability (blue fire, lightning, metal bending, sandbending, healing and blood bending).
Yeah, I prefer earth more than the others. There's just so much you can do with it: you can make structures or projectiles, you can sink people into the ground, you can change the terrain to your advantage, etc. So there's the versatility of it (water is also really versatile, but it's just not my style), and then there's just how awesome just about anyone looks when using it. Also, I just love Bumi and Toph.
Second is fire because lightning is cool.
Last is air. I just don't like it's approach (too acrobatic and evasive for my liking) and I hate the idea of flying.
a) the amount of concentration required it would give you a stroke
b) the distance it would have to travel would pretty much make you as vulnerable as goku trying the use the spirit bomb
c) you'd kill yourself
but it's just so damn awesome know one would give a shit? WHERE'S YOUR FOUR GIANTS NOW, *****!?

I'd go with Air, simply because it's by far the most versatile of the elements. You don't need to carry anything around with you, you can be incredibly subtle, and incredibly powerful, and it can be used to do just about anything. Definitely seems the most useful out of all of them.
Though I have to admit Fire wins in terms of sheer wow factor. You can't really use it for anything except destruction, but it's still pretty awesome.

This is patently wrong, and I think was the whole point of an entire episode of Book 3 when Aang and Zuko went and trained with the Sun Warriors and met Dragons. Fire is the warmth of your heart, it cooks your meals, lights your lamps and heats your home.Agayek said:

Firebending for sure. The Northern Shoalin Kung-Fu style its based off would be the coolest one to learn I reckon, plus I'd learn how to fight with Dao so I could light them on fire like Zuko did.
