I've been a good little gamer this month, and decided that I should get a Gamecube.

Playing through The Legend Of Zelda: The Windwaker I began to think... How often do you go back and play games that aren't part of the current gaming generation?

I myself find that amount of time ever increasing with Toca 3 on my PS2 and a few games I've purchased / borrowed for my newly acquired Gamecube.

I still play games from 7-8 years ago. Regularly, but I still love my current-gen games.

I find myself plugging in the ol' (Or in my case, new) Dreamcast for some good ol' Jet Grind Radio. My answer would be quite a bit, actually.

I'll play games sometimes from up to 10 years ago. I don't think age has anything to do with it, depends on the quality of the game

(unless everyones made up of like 4 pixels, then I might miss it..)

I don't have any new-gen consoles, and I've pretty much switched to PC gaming. But sometimes I bust out the N64 for poops and giggles.

Ocasionally, if I'm bored with my limited stock of current generation games I'll go back to the Gamecube or N64, perhaps even giving Street Fighter II another play through. Then again, Operation Flashpoint is my usual fall back.

I haven't yet upgraded to 'current gen'. I was pretty content with my PS2 before I left it at my mom's house when I moved. I'll upgrade once I become financially stable.

I don't have any of the current gen consoles unfortunately, but I do play my PS2 and GC quite often. All of my current gen gaming is done on my PC.

Been intending to go back and finish Megaman X 2,4,5, and 6 through the Megaman X Collection for the Ol' Cube, but I just havent been motivated. And If I can find the cords to it, Im going to go back and playthrough Legend of Dragoon and Final Fantasy VIII on my PS1.

I've been considering repurchasing a Gamecube, just to replay Zelda. My plan several years ago was to pick up a Wii after the price drop, but that seems to have failed.

I'm yet to make the jump to the next generation, although my moderately powerful PC allows me to keep up with some major releases (although my wallet doesn't). I'd spend a significant amount of time on older games anyway though. I staunchly support the previous console generations, and am yet to exhaust the options available. May even sit this generation out and scoop up all the consoles and classic games up for a bargain price. Yes, I'm aware I'm condemning myself to total irrelevance when discussing gaming media.

My PC is my only way to play current-gen titles, and I replay PS2 games all the time. I can't get enough of Shadow of Rome's mindless violence, and, despite the whiners' whining whines, Rock Band and Guitar Hero are loads of fun on the PS2 as well.

I'm a bit of a pack rat, so I still have most of my old PS2, Xbox 1, and classic PC games which I'll play every now and then. Plus, Steam will often have plenty of old games on sale for cheap, which is a great way to catch titles you missed out on years ago without paying the full $50.
