before i had an ipod, i bought cd's all the time. i think the last one i bought was kid a.

I buy cds all the time, last week a bought meddle and obscured by clouds by pink floyd. Do downloads songs quite often but it's just not the same as owning the album with cover art and all. If there's an album that I really like I've just got to have a physical copy of it.

Yeah, I buy loads. I listen to most stuff on Spotify but if I want my music portable then I just go buy the CD. There's just something special about actually holding it in your hands, something that means the only time I ever download is when I can't get hold of the album through any other means.

I buy all my music on Cds, so I have a lot. But my most recent three were:

I buy cd's, and vinyl's. I would still rather have a physical copy of my music. Last one was The Cradle by a band from my hometown called Colour Revolt.

Like less than a week ago.
Saw a band play live thought I'd pick up their disc. (Seven Car Pile Up a groove rock band). I have lots and buy them frequently.
I like having a CD. I'm old I know. I now have a hard copy that is mine. If something breaks or goes wrong with my computer or MP3 player i still have what is mine. Not to mention all the weird ass copy write laws that come with digital downloads. (I'm taking a course on that now actually so that I can better work with feds on piracy stuff if the need arises)

i must be old or something, because it kills me not to have a hard copy of music. i may rip mp3s or mp4s from a cd, but i never buy music digitally. partly this is due to paranoia (but is it paranoia if they're really out to get you?) about "media ownership" laws which basically allow music you've already purchased to be taken away remotely.

i buy a ton of cds, but to answer your question, the last one i bought was Spoon's "Kill the Moonlight."

Hooray for old people. I nearly crapped my pants when my wife told me her students didn't know what a record was. I mean, I grew up with casset tapes and CDs but I knew what a damn record was.
I always that was a joke that kids on TV say. Apparently not.

I rarely buy CDs unless I'm at a local gig and want to support the band, or hear more of them. Besides, I work at a radio station, and I get a lot of free CDs from there, so I really don't bother. Unless I like the album art, I won't go out and buy a CD. I think around last month, I got an album by the Sun Orchestra, because the album artwork was cute.

I only buy CDs. The only way I'll buy music from something like itunes is if they start offering lossless files instead of crappy mp3s.

I rarely buy CD's, as most of my music comes from the dark tubes of the internet. If I do find an album I really enjoy, however, I will purchase a copy to add to my minuscule collection.

That being said, the last CD I ever bought was a copy of Global Communication's "76:14" for maybe $6 on Ebay about a year ago. The only way I can describe it is pure ambient musical excellence compressed into a compact disc, and one that everyone (even if you don't fancy ambient electronica) should listen to at least once in their life.

A few days ago I bought the Alkaline Trio: Remains CD and I also bought The Drop Kick Murphys: Blackout CD. They are both excellent bands.

Maybe a month ago. I much prefer a physical copy over digital, even if I tend to rip my most listened to stuff shortly after purchase anyway.
