(I didn't see this kind of thing posted yet, but this is my first topic post so bear with me)

We are drawing ever closer to E3, and it looks to be very interesting so far. Nintendo has a new console that will (most likely) be revealed, Sony is recovering from the hacking and will probably give some hard details about the NGP, and I haven't heard much from Microsoft, but who knows what tricks they will have up their sleeves?

Last year I remember Microsoft didn't have a very good showing, but Sony and Nintendo had some cool showings.

So my question to you escapists, who do you think will have the strongest showing? And what games are you excited to see?

Well last year all Nintendo really did was announce yet another series of new games from their already existing game characters and show the 3DS, so i'm pretty much expecting more of the same. New Zelda and whatnot with possibly a new console. Microsoft will probably show more of Gears 3, Mass Effect 3, and then a bunch of new stuff. I have no idea what to expect from Sony, hopefully there will be some more details on the new Twisted Metal.

I'm looking forward to more information on Dark Soul's, Twisted Metal, The Last Guardian, and Skyrim.

With nintendo announcing a new console, I don't think that sony or microsoft have much of a chance. Unless microsoft announces the Xbox 720. You never know, seeing as how they kept that new version of the 360 under raps until E3 last year (or was it the year before that?).

My vote goes to nintendo, but we'll see how things play out.

Also, I recall Sony having a really bad showing last year.

I don't really care about any of these three, but I suspect Nintendo will end up making a bigger splash.

I may have been wrong with my memory, the only thing I really remembered was Nintendo throwing around 3DS's. Although I suppose a lot of it is opinion anyway, depending on what you're looking for

Definitely Nintendo. The past few E3s have been nothing but Mario & Zelda, ports of PS2 games, and hardware add-ons. Last year was big thanks to the 3DS. The time is right for another huge announcement.

Microsoft is next thanks to Halo HD, X-COM, Perfect Dark 2 (rumored), and of course Gears 3. The hype machine for Gears is huge.

Sony doesn't have much to offer besides Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3, but they did just reveal a playable version of the PSP 2. We'll just have to see how that pairs up with the 3DS.

However, this is a year where the focus is on third-party titles. Deus Ex, Modern Warfare 3, Mass Effect 3, Battlefield 3, The Old Republic, Soul Calibur 5, and Silent Hill are all huge games that will make an appearance at E3, and that's just a short list of what to expect.

First of all, talk of "winning" E3 is just silly and cringe-inducing to me. But Nintendo should have a really strong showing, due to the fact that they'll be showcasing both games for both a new handheld (the 3DS) and an upcoming new console (Project Cafe). A lot of people will be watching them.

I'll be watching Nintendo closely as well, but more because I want to know what the hell is going on with Skyward Sword and why I wasn't playing it months ago (as was promised at last year's E3).

Probably Sony this year. A lot more exclusives and probably some gameplay of The Last Guardian people have been expecting for years. But I'm watching E3 because of ME3, Skyrim, Arkham City and AC Revelations.

I honestly couldn't give a shit about any new consoles.

E3 has always been about the games for me. And so far that game is Prey 2.

I'm going to have to go with Nintendo. Nintendo has a new console planned, which is rumored to have pretty much everything on it. While some of those rumors are stretches (GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2), I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo announced new game in almost every franchise of theirs, which is enough for me to buy the console. As far as I can see for Sony, it looks like they're gearing up to talk about more Uncharted 3 and NGP/Xperia Play stuff, which I really don't see as "exciting". And Microsoft just looks like they're planned to talk about more Gears of War 3 and maybe some Mass Effect 3.

I'd like to say Microsoft, but I'm going to have to go with Sony. They're going to be pulling everything out to show that they're still capable of being top dog.

I'd put my money on that it's going to Nintendo's new console instead of the Wii.

I found Sony/Nintendo to be decent from last year, microsoft was just terrible. You may make fun of Nintendo for just releasing remakes or games of the same character, microsoft it was allll sequels to games.

Anyways, I expect Nintendo to do a decent show, they usually do. As long as they don't announce the Wii prostate checker or something, it should be decent. Sony is very up in the air, it's possible they'll say something about their next portable, and maybe something about PS3 software upgrades, but that's slim. I think for the most part they'll play it safe as I'm sure they dont have a lot of money to be throwing at E3 what with the gong show of PSN over the past 2 months.

And with Microsoft, as always I'm not really interested.

It's going to be an odd year, and probably pretty exciting for us as we're on the verge of a new-generation of gaming.
