Have you ever stopped playing an internet game because they changed something you liked. Maybe it was a change in the graphics or gameplay, or maybe because they changed the way you talked. What was the name of the game and why did you stop playing it?

When you say internet game do you mean games like Runescape and other online rpgs? In that case no. The only reason I'll ever leave a internet game (Which I rarely play) is because I got bored with it.

I mean any internet game, (but i guess this really applies to rpgs when you think about it).

99% of the games now use the internet.
If you mean MMO's, then specify.
OT: Yes, I have. I quit WoW because I was bored of grinding nonstop to get to a level cap, only to have to re-do it in the next expansion.

It usually comes down to boredom for me. In WOW, after playing it through at my own pace, I hit the level cap and was not able to do any of the end game content because I needed better equipment that what I had to do the raids everyone was playing, and I couldn't find anyone interested in doing the raids needed to get the "required" equipment for the bigger raids because everyone else had already done those and didn't need anything from them anymore (Catch 22). In other strategy online games I tend to play, I either find a strategy that no one seems able to deal with (without straight up ganging up on me from the beginning) and end up winning without a challenger so often it's no longer fun, or can't seem to get the hang of them quick enough to keep from dying right off the bat. I'm still looking for one that hits that sweet spot, where I'm still fighting to survive, but not likely to get wiped out unless I don't pay attention.

Oh yah, and for those of you who don't know, I am a die hard Runescape fan, so you can make fun of me, I don't mind.

Runescape, WOW, Voyage Century, Adventure Quest, Runes of Magic, Project Entropia and Battlefield Heroes. I kinda just got over them i guess and found them becoming too repetitive.

Why isn't there a "Repetition gets boring" option? I guess that's other. You know what game I mean. And if you don't then WoW you're stupid. Hint hint.

I left World of Warcraft because I got BORED! Yea, I said it. WOW is boring and repetitive. Working to level up constantly drives me insane...I need action! I only had it for a month before chucking it out of a window.

I stopped playing internet games when I came to realizations. For example, when I played Eve, I initially thought it was a free universe of opportunity and everlasting success until I realized that it's just mimicking business and success we could be doing in real life, not to mention the world falls under CCPs rules, not through innovative discoveries real people would make.

That aside, spending all your time and effort running a corp and getting money never has a satisfying end. What do you do when you get to that point where you have all the money you need and want? You just keep playing the game, and there's no end bonus to be had. One could say "fun," but is a mining corp really fun? Is a wormhole racket really fun? Is killing people all the time really fun? Well, yes to the last one, but it's also the most risky, and you get to a point where your power is so overwhelming you and your corp could take on anyone. Yet at that point, what's next? Every MMO is about what's next. Once I find the answer to be "nothing," I move on.

I left Warhammer Online when the developers told us, in no uncertain terms, that they didn't care what we thought about the game because we weren't American.
I left Champions Online because I found out that the Game Time Cards weren't availible in England.
I left City of Heroes when I got my second Prestige Archetype to max level.
I left Tabula Rasa because it required a grind (an actual grind, not what most WoW haters think a grind is) to get to Tier 3 to start seeing missions again.
I left Anarchy Online when I realised I had no idea what was going on and noone would help me.
I left Fallen Earth because it was shit. Same with Runescape.
I left EVE Online because it was boring. Same with Adventure Quest.
I left World of Warcraft because the only time I have fun in that game is getting to max level. Not when I'm there.
I left Age of Conan when every last person I knew took a week off work, then followed me round the game taking the piss because they were higher level.
I left NeoSteam because the translation was awful and I had no idea what I was doing.
I left Urban Dead because my character had all the skills for both human and zombie, and several thousand more experience on the side.
I left Nexus Wars because Jorm finally shut down the servers.

I THINK that's all the online games I've tried. I might try Aion, but from what I've heard, I'm not holding my breath... I went for "other", by the way.

I've only played one: WoW. I'm too young to have played any of the others. Also, I have not quit it, but I am taking an extended break due to lack of money.

Yup, just boredom with the game as others have stated. Other reason would be if a game dwindles in popularity, such that it becomes difficult to find a decent server.
