Poll: Lycan(Werewolf) or Vampire

I would shun both and choose to be like Wolverine from X-Men.

If pushed to choose from the above I would be a Vampire as seen in 'The Preacher' (the only weakness I have is sunlight, even then it has to be direct sunlight meaning I can go out on an overcast day or stand in the shade and be fine).

Lycanthopes, definitely. Not only are they as strong and fast as vamps, they don't have any food or environmental restrictions. That, and overcoming the innate frenzy of the hybrid form is a much more interesting form of character development. And Lycanthropes are more versatile than vampires, as there's different kinds of werefolk. You've got your all-around badass werewolf, your fast and smart werecat, and your walking furry tank, the werebear.

Lycan. I wouldn't have any limits based on solar schedules and after awhile it would appear that I could control my transformations.

I agree. Besides you wouldn't be able to eat your favorite treats (if your a former human), and unless your favorite treat already is fresh human blood something may be wrong but at least you would have a better chance surviving as either

Silver kills ya but who uses silver bullets

Exactly. And besides, silvered weapons are so hard to make effective that most would-be werewolf hunters wind up with their blood about the room in minutes because of faulty equipment. Even if it's properly made, only certain grades of silver are truly deadly: Most just burn a little and slow the healing process. And besides, it isn't just silver for every lycanthrope. Wereravens, for example, are harmed by gold. It's a lot harder to kill a lycan than a vampire.
