So Mount & Blade according to the website is an immersive medieval war simulation taking place in a fictitious land named Calradia. Enriched with RPG elements, Mount&Blade offers a captivating environment, beautifully detailed with hundreds of castles, towns, and villages to explore.
Master your mounted and on foot combat skills, choosing from a vast arsenal of medieval weaponry including polearms, axes, swords, bows and many more. Serve as a vassal under a powerful king, or raise your own armies and compete for domination of Calradia.

link of moded gameplay:

and now they will release Warband, which is the equivalent of an expansion!!!

In a land torn asunder by incessant warfare, it is time to assemble your own band of hardened warriors and enter the fray. Lead your men into battle, expand your realm, and claim the ultimate prize: the throne of Calradia.

-Multiplayer battles with up to 64 players.

-Multiplayer modes include Deathmatch,
Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag,
Conquest, Battle, and Siege.

-Use one of the most intuitive medieval fighting
systems ever devised.
-Seek adventure alone, or engage enemies with your own army.

-Conquer castles, tax villagers, and expand your domain in your bid for the throne.

-The ability to marry for romance or cold political gain.

What is this...? It just feels like an advert for M&B. And Warband is old news now...

What do you want to discuss? =/

Just wondered what it was for? =|

Everything on the forum needs discussion, so I was trying to generate some. I think the zero replies other than me reflects this.

I won't bother helping in the future.

Is it standalone? I thought it was just a good ol' fashioned expansion.

And yeah, Mount & Blade has an amazing modding community. Any community that can take this:

And turn it into THIS:

Deserves major respect!

I think he kind of resents the fact that your topic doesn't appear to be anything but a big advertisement on what's supposed to be a public forum. Blatant product placement much? Hell, I don't even know what your poll is asking- of course I'm EXPECTING Warband since I know full well it's coming out, but are you asking if I'm ANTICIPATING it?

Ironically though, I only just started playing M&B the other day and am completely addicted to it. (Or perhaps not so ironically, since the game WAS just slashed to $4.99 on Steam the other day.) I can see that the game has considerable flaws, but it's just amazingly addictive building up my elite mercenary army. I have 70 men now including 12 Sword Sisters and 8 Nord Huscarls and I'm still working on more. And I haven't even TOUCHED the modding comunity yet, which I'm anticipating will quadruple the game's life for me.

But that mod video was pretty dull. Of all 10, only the last one managed to get away from the medieval-type setting of the basic campaign and even that one didn't stray too far- where are the total conversion mods for feudal Japan, Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, Lord of the Rings and Warhammer?

Although I have to say I AM looking forward to Warband, although I almost certainly won't buy it on launch. I simply won't be finished with the original game yet (plus I'm betting it'll take a few weeks for them to patch the inevitable bugs out).

Well a feudal Japan one just came out, and a 1.0 version of the Lord of the Rings one is about to come out. You just need to hit the database, theres a tonne of stuff that deviates from the medieval setting.

there's also the 1866 mod (cowboy version) with lots of guns (pistols, rifles, repetition rifles, axes arrows etc)
also: the video doesn't show you very much as you say... there are tons of new stuff in many of those mods... the 3 i've got right now are: Europe 1200 ; Lords & Realms 1.505 ; and Prophecy of Pendor. big mods (200 or 300 mb)

Mount & Blade was great and Warband looks like it'll add depth to many areas that were lacking before. However, it sounds as though it's merely adding things that fans expect rather than something outright revolutionary? Therefore I'm interested, but not ecstatic.

More importantly: what is the song used in the first video?
"Navras" by "Juno Reactor", I think. Made famous by the final battle of the Matrix Revolutions.

And now, my own question: Madman, what's the name of the improved graphics mod?
