I've never had that issue. It might just be a random error.
As for browser, by far Chrome. It blows everything else out of the water.

It's been a fairly common problem that other people have had (Ive seen a fairly large amount of topics about this). It seems all you have to do to fix it is to go to your options and clear your cache. You should stop getting the messages after that :)

EDIT: I use chrome. I've been using it since release, and I haven't had any issues, plus I like the slick interface and its fairly quick and responsive.

Its built to run scripts faster, which makes it faster, but also less safe as malicious code=script , and I use no script on firefox so I can choose which websites get script access

I guess thats why I Prefer firefox, because I can be a bit safer, as I cant stand viruses (All my addicting games are on here)

And I dont think google chrome is crap, bad choice of words, I dont prefer it (I just got annoyed at the message I guessed, especially since my downloads failed to have good speed shortly after)

Ah.

Well I'm very paranoid and scan my computer for anything bad every day, so its not that much of a problem for me :)

Plus since my connection is crap, anything with speed is totally awesome for me.

I use Chrome, It's faster and more stable than anythin else out there. There's a good article on Ars Technica about how the current line up stands, benchmarking and tests, that sorta thing.

Take a look: http://arstechnica.com/microsoft/news/2010/10/windows-browsers-benchmarked-october-2010-edition.ars

Yeah, I try to, but I always stop it in favour of games at most points. And my connection is surprisingly great for me, apart from when it comes to online games for me, I used to get 30 ping 9/10, not its 100-1000 ><

The worst part is, Ive bought a Gaming wireless dongle, which cost me more (twice as much), but favours bandwith and reach (which I need, because im the opposite side of the house to the router), Its supposed to get the best possible ping, which worked, till recently, and I dont know why

I think I got Mcafee security scan or whatever when I downloaded quicktime, and about once a week it tells me that Escapistmagazine.com, Youtube.com and Google.com are leaving behind malware.

I think it is just the system trying to get attention. Proablby what Googlechrome is doing to you.

[EDIT]

and you don't have Netscape on your list of browsers? They were doing the tabbed browsing before it was cool.

jk

who actually has touched Netscape in the past 5 years?

I have a 1mb connection speed. So... yeah, sadface for me. It also dies every now and then, which is most inconvenient. However there's no download/bandwith/whatever cap of any kind, so... score!

I have 5mb, but get about 2.5mb at best (dam british internet) and about 1mb download speed at best, but the pings generally quite lucky with this dongle, till recently.
