So Manvember (November) is the month where men (and women maybe, not sure, aaaaanyway) everywhere are given the choice to not shave and let their beards, or anywhere else they feel like, grow freely.

So being as I'm 16 and my "facial hair" grows on like one side of my face in patches and looks quite terrible (ok not that bad but still, it does look quite awful) I'm debating taking part but we'll see.

Anyway I was wondering how many Escapists are gonna be taking part?

Edit: Here's a deffinition.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Manvember

"A dedicated month during the year, specifically November, when manliness is at its peak. During this time there will be no shaving, except for the head...because that is manly. Flannel shirts will be worn as frequently as possible, tobacco products will be on hand at all times, and meat will be consumed at least twice a day.
We have entered a state of Manvember

Manvember has begun!

Manvember!"

What is it with giving month's gimmicky names at the moment, first "rocktober" and now this.

But no I won't be doing this because it sounds retarded, also if I didn't shave how am I meant to maintain my mainly but feminine tache.

No need for Mustaches vs. Cancer [http://us.movember.com/] gets started in October, and overlaps any mustache festivities already planned.

Meh, I need to shave again. getting a bit hairy all over my facey.
Ugh, why doesn't my mustache grow as fast as the rest of my facial hair? >:
So no, I shan't be taking part in this, unless I forget to shave. again.

God good, no.
Not that I've got anything against facial hair, but...my girlfriend does.
And she's kinda OCD.
And she has several pairs of tweezers.
So me growing a beard would be great fun for her, but HELL for me.

Nah. When I go a long time without shaving, my facial hair pretty much amounts to extrememly long stubble on my chin, a moderately thick, though so light it's invisible mustache, and a shitload of extremely light, fine hairs that are my "sideburns". So the only thing really noticeable would be the long stubble, but getting my whole all smooth again would be a real chore, so no.

Well at least this way you'd have an excuse to grow it.

The only part of me that I ever shave is my face. Seriously, my legs are as hairy as fuck and the rest of me is pretty damn fuzzy too. My hair is pretty short but that's because it takes ages to grow (unlike my facial hair) and my mom, as a qualified hairdresser, cut my hair for me before I came back to university last month. And before anyone comments on a 19 year old still having his hair cut by his mother, can I just say that she is qualified (though it isn't her actual job) and it's much cheaper than going to a barber to get it done.

Anyway, I probably won't participate, but good luck to anyone who decides to do so :)

I could grow a beard in a month easily enough, and it would be a full one as well. I've always been a hairy bugger, being shaving since i was 14. Still, i would rather not, i prefer being, more or less, clean shaven. Just more convient.

Uhm... Not sure if my girlfriend would approve.

And I catch the crazy if I get fuzzy face. True story, it's itchy.

Maybe I'll grow a mustache if she lets me :)
